A few minutes after the meal Jet wanted Sokka to go with him on a mission. Katara and I sat on a wooden pavilion, talking and getting to know about ourselves more, then a few minutes later Sokka returned, Katara and I turned to meet him. His expression was grim as he sat furthest away from us.

"Hey, Sokka. Is Jet back?" Katara asked,

"Yeah he's back," Sokka said sternly  "But we're leaving,"

"What?" Aang said,

"Aww, do we really have to go? " I asked, " I promised Pipsqueak I would make some of my delicious gyudon,"

"Plus I made Jet this hat," Katara joined as she shows a cap made out of stitched leaves with a flower on top.

"Your boyfriend Jet's a thug," Sokka said,

"What? No, he's not!" Katara protested.

"He's messed up Katara,"

"Sokka, don't you think you're reaching just a tad bit ?" I asked.

"I agree with Amaya," Aang joined, "Jet's just got a different way of life, a really fun way of life,"

"He beat and robbed a harmless old man!" Sokka reavealed, the words cold and harsh. The three of us stood there stunned.

" I wanna hear Jet's side of the story," Katara said. We then met Jet at the mess hall and told him about Sokka's mission, and the old man, he then took us to a room filled with stolen fire nation weapons, poisons, and bombs. Jet sits on a hammock-bed, while we stand. Sokka stands grumpily as far away as he can get. While Aang is wearing the hat Katara made.

"Sokka, you told them what happened," he said "But you didn't mention that the guy was Fire Nation?"

"No, he conveniently left that part out," Katara said,

"Fine! But even if he was Fire Nation, he was a harmless civilian!" Sokka protested,  Jet pulls out a knife and thrusts it into a nearby stump. It is a sinister looking curved blade. There are four spikes evenly spaced along the grip, with enough space for fingers to go between them. There is a ring on the butt of the knife, "See? There's a compartment for poison in the knife," he said as he pulls on the ring and removes a small glass tube filled with red liquid, "He was sent to eliminate me; you helped save my life, Sokka."

Something's not adding up, I thought.

"I knew there was an explanation," Katara said relieved,

"I didn't see any knife!" Sokka said, "That's because he was concealing it," replied Jet.

"See, Sokka? " said Katara "I'm sure you just didn't notice the knife,"

"There was no knife!" Sokka snapped "I'm going back to the hut and packing my things," he said as he barged out the room.

"Sokka!" I yelled, "Sokka wait," as I ran after him, he was already at the bunkers, packing his belongings.

"Sokka, please, I get that you're upset and-"

"Save it. If you want to be with Jet fine, but leave me out of it," Sokka interrupted.

"Look Sokka I-" I barley finished my sentence when Katara bursts in while Aang followed after her.

"We can't leave now with the Fire Nation about to burn down a forest!"

"I'm sorry Katara," Sokka said,  "Jet's very smooth, but we can't trust him,"

"You know what I think?  You're jealous that he's a better warrior and a better leader!" accused Katara.

"Katara, I'm not jealous of Jet. It's just that my instinct—"
