Chapter 1

Today is the day that school begins after an amazing summer. The summer was perfect, I went on vacation with my mom and dad, went to party's and did so much more fun things. 

I step out of my bed and walk to my mirror an see that I look tired, but I look excited about school. I step quickly in the bathroom and take a shower. After that, I put on a simple outfit and apply some natural make-up. I look at my new shoes and put them on. One knock at my door and I see my mom standing there. "Hey sweetie you already up?" She asks. "Yup ready for school, and of to take breakfast," I say as I walk past her and give a kiss on her cheek.

I put some yogurt with strawberries in a bowl and go to the tv and watch the latest news. Two animal attacks yesterday. Probably a mountain lion again. When I finish my yogurt I grab a cup and do my coffee in it. I see that it is almost time to go get my friend. Alex and I always ride together to school. Last year I would pick up Jenny also but she moved away. Luckily I still have Alex. When I pack my bag and walk to my car I see my dad walking into the kitchen. I run towards him to give him a kiss on the cheek and then run as quickly as I can to the car.

When I arrive at Alex her house she is already standing on her porch. I honk and she walks toward the car. "Long time no see." She laughs. "Hahahaha very funny Alex" I respond. "But Maddie I swear I hated to not be able to see you for a week," she says. "It's not my fault that you got grounded," I say. Alex laughs and grabs my coffee to drink it up. "Our senior year, I'm ready for it," I say and drive away from Alex her house.

As we arrive at school, I park at a spot close to the door. Next to me a car park, I look who it is, it's Niall and Luke. We call them the twins. And Luke is my boyfriend. I step out of the car to kiss him. He grabs my face and presses his lips against mine. "Uurgggh gross" I hear Alex say. I ignore, but I separate Luke's and my lips. He grabs my hand. "Hey Maddie, how is it going?" Niall asks. Niall was always the more caring twin. But Luke was by far the most handsome. "Actually I am doing great. It's our senior year guys" I say. Some girl is running towards us. "Natalie" I scream. She gives me a hard hug. Because of Natalie, I let go of Luke's hand to hug her back. I missed her so much during the summer. Her dad lives across the county and she promised him that she would be there the whole summer. Alex went there for a week but I didn't. Another car is arriving and parks next to my car on the other side. Andrew and his brother step out of it. "Hey, Andrew," I say. His brother walks fast past us to go inside. Andrew nods and now stands next to Luke.

Finally, after the summer, we are complete again. Alex, Niall, Luke, Natalie, Andrew and me of course. One person is missing but we accepted that last year. So weird to be in our senior year without Jenny. We always talked about having our senior pictures and senior prom. I miss her a lot. I think I am the only one missing her a lot. I know the rest misses her to but Jenny was one of my best friends. Alex, Jenny and I were best friends since middle school. When we met Natalie at high school our group was completed. We had a few people who we accepted in our friend group. When Andrew and Jenny started dating, Andrew was added to our group. And then came Niall and Luke. After a year of liking Luke, we started dating. And that's where we are now. Our senior year.

I grab Luke's hand and start to walk inside. Everyone follows us. When I walk through the door I feel like I am ruling this year. Nothing can go wrong. People are watching us. That's normal for us because we are the 'popular kids'. I wouldn't call us that but Andrew's brother says that people are saying that about us. I see some freshmen jump aside as they see Luke and Andrew looking at them. "Maddie do we have biology or chemistry," Alex asks. "We have French" I laugh. "Oh I did know that I was just teasing you," she says but I see her cheeks getting red. "Great I have also French first period, we can sit next to each other" Luke says. "Alex is that okay with you," I ask. "Yup fine I will sit next to Natalie then," she says. We walk toward the classroom. Andrew and Niall are walking past us to walk to there class.

When we walk in I see we got a new teacher. Great I did like Madame Bourgeois. I sit down at a table in the second last row. Next to me sits Luke and in front of me sits Alex. I see how the new teacher is writing some stuff down in French. When the classroom is full the teacher closes the door. "Welcome everyone. This is a French class and my name is Mister Johnson. As you can see on the board I wrote something in French. Ne croyez pas tout ce que vous recontrez dans la vie." He says. His accent is beautiful. "Can someone translate what I just said." He asks. Before I can put my hand in the air my mouth speaks. "Do not believe everything you encounter in your life". "Very good miss," "Richards," I answer him. "Well, I will see if the rest is also as good in French as miss Richards. I will write some exercises on the board and you'll get 20 minutes to write them on a paper and then turn them in. Except for miss Richards because she was the person who gave a good answer to my question." Mr. Johnson says. I blush a little because I knew it and it's just a passion of mine. I like the French language. This year is beginning so well.

When we walk out of the classroom to get to the next period. I bump into Rebecca. "Oh hey," I say. She glares at me and walks past me. She always does that to me because I stole Luke from her. I giggle and give Luke a kiss who was walking beside me. In the corner of my eye, I see Rebecca staring at us. Exactly what I wanted. "Heeey Maddie not everyone has to see how gross you two are," Alex says when she is walking towards us. "Okay, I get it. Shall we go to biology" I ask? "Duh. Or were you planning to skip the second period already" she laughs. I hook my arm into hers and we walk to our next class.

When we go into our biology classroom, I see that we have to sit in groups. I chose a group of tables in the middle and sit down. Alex joins me and we wait for other people to go sit in our group. "Can I sit here?" a deep voice asks. I look up and see a tall dark-haired boy staring into my eyes. "Of course you can" Alex respond instead of me.
