(so I'm not going to put the songs here anymore I made a playlist, Buried trust playlist. I will not mention this a lot more in the upcoming chapters.)

I wake up and look at the clock, it is 10 am. It is Saturday. This week went very fast. I found out I am a predictor, went to New York, and discovered a lot more. Olivia warned me about something. I really don't know what it is. Yesterday Luke left after we had an argument. I want to say sorry but I don't think it is my fault. Maybe it is, I just overreacted. My mom and dad were fighting again and the sorry about my grandmother was just too much. I grab my phone and check for any messages. None. I grab an outfit an take a shower. I walk downstairs. My dad is asleep on the couch. That means that my mom is upstairs. I make breakfast and take it with me outside. I'm glad it is still summer, but I know the weather is changing soon. I enjoy the sun and wait for someone to text me. I have to talk to Luke. I'm calling him.

"Hello," Luke says. "Hi. I just wanted to say sorry for yesterday. I think it was too much for one night." "Don't apologize. I said some horrible things about your grandmother." "That's not the problem. She is actually." We both laugh. It sounds nice, hearing him laugh again. "I shouldn't have lied to you about knowing what you were and I shouldn't have let Niall come to New York." "No, I think he saved my life. I just overreacted with that. You indeed shouldn't have lied to me." "I know, and I apologize for that." "I miss you." "I miss you too. Are your parents still.." "Yes, I don't want to talk about it." "Okay." "I had a dream last night." I change the subject before he can ask why. "Tell me." "Actually it was a spell that let me in a world with Olivia so I could see her." "Wow, what did she do?" "She told me something was coming and that she will tell me what when she knows it." "Has it something to do with us?" "I don't think so. You both would kill someone for me." "That's true. I know Niall is stubborn but he always saves his friends." "I know, when can I come to the cabin again?" "I don't know. We are actually at our home in Maryville right now." "Oh, just tell me when you are going there. I want to come." "You love it there." "Yes I do." "I do too." Silence is created. We both say nothing. "I have to go." Luke breaks the silence and hangs up. That was rude.

I walk back inside and see my mom sitting in the kitchen. Her eyes are red and swollen. "Mom, what's wrong?" I ask. "Nothing sweetie. Your dad and I just need to talk." "Okay, then I'm going for a walk." "No, can you please stay here. Someone needs to listen to this conversation without choosing one over another." "No mom. I'm not going to listen to your private conversation." "Maddie, I was wrong. I did something stupid and now you have to pay the consequences." Did she sell me off to some old vampire or something? "Mom what did you do?" "When I was away I was with another man." Wow, I thought my dad was the cheater. Well, he didn't cheat but still. "Mom!" "Your dad did it to me and I went through a lot so." "So you thought, let's put dad through the same thing." "No, not exactly. I hoped to keep it a secret but yesterday I was so mad at him I told him." "And now you know you fucked up because he never cheated on you." "He didn't?" "No, he went to Paris. To his grandmother for." "Maddie shut up." I hear my father's voice coming from the living room. "William, why didn't you tell me?" My dad doesn't respond. "Mom there is something you don't need to know. But what you did is horrible." "I know, I know. I'm sorry Maddie." "You already did it." "I'm so so sorry." "Do you love him?" "I don't want to hurt you." "Tell me, mom!" "Yes, I hoped I didn't but I talked so much with him and we have a lot in common." "Mom you're married, how did he not know that!" "He knew. He loved me as much as I loved him. He didn't care." "Oh my gosh, just stop talking." "Maddie I don't want to lose you after the divorce." "Are you getting a divorce?" "Yes." "I can't believe it." I walk away and almost reach the stairs before my mom says something. "Maddie be reasonable." "Oh I should be reasonable, YOU CHEATED MOM! Think about what damage you did to this family." I storm upstairs and slam my door.

I hear a car leaving. I look through my window and see it is my mom's car that is gone. I'm mad at my mom. How could she do this to our family? I walk downstairs, my dad is in the garden. He isn't gardening but he is destroying all the roses in the garden except for one bush. "Dad, what are you doing?" I ask him. He turns around and all I see is anger in his face. When he looks in my eyes he calms down a little bit but he is still angry. "Your mom, I bought these for her when you were born. She wanted to takes this with her when we finalized the divorce." "And you couldn't let her." "Of course not, they stand for our love. I don't feel that anymore." "And the last one then?" "That one is not about your mom." "For what then?" "For you." "Me?" "Yeah if your grandmother went crazy on you and killed you I would still have some piece of you." "Oh, dad. Don't think about that." "It also stands for Rosie." "Who is Rosie?" "My little sister." "So it is true what Luke told me." "Yeah, it is." "I'm sorry dad. We can do this. We don't need mom here." He smiles and I see that his anger is gone. "You will find someone." "I don't think I will but hey, I have you." I hug him. "Soooo, now can I have your last name?" "I don't think so." We both laugh and walk back inside.

The doorbell rings. "Serious can mom not even take her key with her," I yell. I'm upstairs making some homework. I missed a lot last week. Luckily I don't have to do anything for french. The new teacher is nice but he always gives up so much homework. "Maddie, it's for you." My dad says. I walk downstairs and see Olivia sitting on the couch. "Olivia." I walk to her and give her a hug. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "You know I said I would come when I had the vision clear." "You do?" "Yes, and it is not a nice one." "Okay, but first we're going to have dinner. You must be starving." I smile and walk to the kitchen. My dad and I already ate but we still have some leftovers. "I made chicken with some vegetables." "Sounds great." I warm up the leftovers and give them to Olivia. For myself, I grab a cup of tea. "Do you want to tell me already or not?" I ask. "Okay, but the vision was some sort of warning." I take a sip of my tea. "Tell me." "You already knew there as some vampire in town who keeps killing people." I nod. "Well, that person is a very old vampire. Turned in 1437." "That means that he is 583." "Yes and very dangerous. When he was turned he came to seek revenge to the family he hated the most." "Let me guess. My bloodline?" "Our bloodline." Olivia corrects me. It is still weird I had a cousin I didn't know about. "Wat he does is search for the youngest in the bloodline so the bloodline can't grow anymore." "That's harsh." "Yes, but he is here. He is going to kill you. He hasn't found you yet but he will. I only know his name." "Why am I such a target. I didn't choose this." "I didn't, but I embraced it and now I'm here to protect you. I'm not leaving until he is killed." "Well, then you have to tell me his name." "His name is Christopher Ordaux." "Let me guess again. He is french." "You are really good at this Maddie." I laugh but Olivia keeps a straight face. "Not funny," Oliva says. "It is very serious I know. I will tell Luke tomorrow." "Good, let's get your friend group together again." "Excuse me. The only one missing is Jenny." "Exactly." Olivia up her plate in the dishwasher. "Now tell me, where am I going to sleep." This time she laughs. I join and show her the way to the guestroom.
