Chapter 26

The way we dance at the moment is surprising to me. The people around us are doing the same dance like us. I'm in a room full of vampires but the only thing I can think of is if I'm dancing okay. Luke guides me through all the dances. "Can we take a break? My feet hurt." I whisper in Luk's ear. Luke nods and we leave the dance floor. "I have a surprise," Luke says. I look at him with a questionable look. "Go upstairs to the girls' bathroom. Somebody is waiting there for you." Weird but okay. "Not somebody scaring me right?" "No, trust me." I walk up the huge stairs in the hallway. When I am upstairs its beautiful. They chose the best place to host this gala. This house is probably a hundred years old. I see a sign that the next door is the bathroom. I ope the door and it is a complete bathroom with a shower and bath. A big mirror is covered with a blanket. The door to the room next to it opens and Olivia walks in. "Hello gorgeous," she says. "Liv! What are you doing here?" "Well, I gave you this dress but Luke told me that I had to pick up the best ballgown for you." "Wait what?" "Yes you heard me." "You serious?" "Yes, don't cry." I feel water burning in my eyes. It a beautiful gesture. "I got two because I am staying also." "Your staying, amazing." "Yes. I think there I a chance that Cristopher is here." "Yes of course it is a vampire ball." "But also for other supernatural, but they don't come anymore. Follow me." I follow Olivia into the room next to me. It is a gigantic bedroom. On the bed two Ballgowns laid out. "Choose. I already know that there both amazing on you."

The dresses are both beautiful. One is red with gold aspects on the skirt, the sleeves are off the shoulder. The aspects go also on the body. It is a beautiful dress. The other one is purple, the body is covered in silver beading. The sleeves are also off the shoulder, some of the beadings drip down on the skirt but the rest of the skirt is just purple. The voice in my head says the purple one will be beautiful on Olivia. "I will put on the red one. The purple will be beautiful on you." Olivia smiles. "I knew you were the same as me." Olivia grabs the red dress and zips it open. She lays it on the ground and makes a bow. "You may my lady." We both laugh. I set in the dress and pull it up. Olivia zips it up. Olvia puts my hair in a low bun and curls the hair that doesn't fit in the bun. Olivia grabs a big necklace. "Uhm, Liv. I don't like big jewelry." "Suck it up, Luke paid for it so wear it." Olivia puts the jewelry on me and then a beautiful hairpiece. "You have to get dressed to you know," I say. "I know. Help me with the dress please." Olivia lays her dress on the ground and picks it up. I zip it and help her with her jewelry and hair. We step into our heels. The dress is heavy but I can't help but smile.

We walk off the gigantic stairs and everybody is looking. Some whisper to each other. When we get down Luke is waiting for me. "Is this what you wanted?" he asks. "Yes, thank you." I look behind me and see Olivia standing there. "Luke, with who is Liv going to dance?" "Just wait." Luke and I walk to the dance floor. Before we enter the other room I see Niall walking to Olivia. Oh my gosh, he is here. Great, with Olivia. Niall takes Olivia to the dance floor where Luke and I are standing. Three other couples walk up t the dance floor. The girls in a beautiful ballgown and the boys dressed up in suits. We dance and of course Luke leads me again. The night is awesome. I wish I had more of these. Some of the people switch with each other so they have a different partner. I only want to dance with Luke. Oliva is also dancing, still with Niall. She looks happy so let her. Olivia can care for herself. Luke and I walk to the bar and he orders us something to drink. "Introduce me to this girl you brought with you this year Luke." The bartender asks. "This is Maddie Richards, my girlfriend." "So this is the girl you were talking about the past two years?" "Yes she is." We grab our drinks and sit down on a bench outside. "The past two years huh?" I playfully say. "I thought you never noticed me." "I did since the day I saw you at school." I blush. "How come that here are a lot of vampires?" "This is the official house of Maryville. It lays just outside the borders of the town. The vampires that you see here are the ones that respect Maryville, some of them are new or just heard of it but the most know about this. They lived here years ago and made this their home. They come back here for this ball and then leave again." "It's a big deal then for the vampires." "Yes." "Liv told me that all of supernatural were allowed at this ball once." "They still are, except the werewolves but the witches don't want to come and the only supernatural I know is you, and you're here now." I smile. "Shall we dance again," I say. Luke stands up and takes my hand.

People are leaving and we are too. Liv grabs the bag of clothes we wore before and Luke drives us home. I open the front door. I'm surprised to see that my dad is n the kitchen instead of on the couch. "Dad, we're home," I say. "Okay." the only response I'm going to get probably. I give Luke a kiss and say goodbye. Olivia is already upstairs. Probably taking off her make-up and her jewelry. "Dad?" I walk in the kitchen. "Yes Maddie. What's wro.." My dad can't finish his sentence. "Maddie, you look beautiful. Where did he take you?" "Thanks. To a vampire ball. It's annual." "You mean the magic ball?" "I guess." "The other supernatural didn't like it when the vampires began to show up so they left the ball and the vampires took over but that is another story." "Yes dad it is. I'm going to bed." I kiss my dad on the cheek and walk upstairs "Finally, it was about time you were going to free me out of this dress." Olivia says and waits for me to unzip her dress. I do it and wait for her to unzip mine. The evening was full of surprises. It was a long but successful night. I'm very tired of all of it and decide to go to bed.

I open my eyes and I am laying on the street. I recognize the street. I'm playing in front of the coffee point. I stand up. Is this a vision? I look around me and see three girls walking and laughing. I want to walk towards them but I can't move. A person in a black hoodie is walking to them. How the person is built it looks like a man. The man is now behind them. I want to scream but I can't. The man attacks the girls and by the movements he makes I see it is a vampire. Is it him. Is it Christopher Ordeux? When all three of the girls are laying on the ground I can finally move again. I run towards them and see that they are dead. He killed them. The guy begins moving the bodies to his car. I recognize the car from somewhere but I can't remember. I try looking at the man's face but all I see is black. I know it is him, I feel it. I try to stop him but he drives away with the bodies.

"Maddie, wake up," Olivia says. She is shaking me from one side of the bed to the other. My dad is also in my room with a worried look. "What's wrong?" my sleepy voice sounds weird. "You were screaming and waking us all up," Oliva says. "I think I had a vision. About him." "Christopher?" "Yes, he killed three girls. Oh gosh, the freshman from the bar." "You knew them?" "No. I just recognized them. It was for the Coffee point." Olivia looks at me. "I had that vision also." My dad sighs. "Let's just all go to sleep again and talk about this tomorrow," my dad says. "Liv, I know it is weird but I couldn't see his face. It was pitch black." "I know I had the same." My dad walks out of my room to his own. "I did recognize the car." "What car, he just killed them and left." "No, he picked up the bodies and drove away." "Maddie, from who was the car was it?" "That's the point, I don't remember." Olivia looks at me. "If you remember tell me and warn me." "I will." I hug Olivia. "Goodnight." Olivia blows a kiss and leaves. Something in me is telling me that he wants to let me know who he is. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I for sure know it.
