The call with my dad was stressful. I almost thought he wouldn't forgive me for going to New York. He doesn't know that I'm going there but he knows I left. Luckily he gave me permission for going. I still have to find a way to tell my mom everything. Maybe my dad can tell her. I also have to have a conversation with Natalie. We have to discuss everything, about her being a witch and vampires. Maybe she knows about me. After New York, I'm going to talk to her. I don't know how long we are going to stay in New York but after that. I promised my dad that we are home before Friday but if we don't find Olivia by then we are staying.

The sun is setting outside. Luke and I switch driving last stop. I'm beginning to get tired. The sound of my stomach rumbling distracts my thoughts. "I think it's time for dinner," I say with a chuckle. "Yeah, I think so," Luke responds. "We will take the next exit to a restaurant," Luke says. "There are only fast food restaurants on this road. I looked it up." "Are you okay with fast food?" "If I get some food, I'm hungry. Are you?" "No, I'm not." "Oh, okay. Well, by the next exit there is a Taco Bell. We can go there." "Alright. Maddie, I'm not mad if you are thinking that. I'm just new to the situation that my girlfriend knows about me being a vampire and asking me if I'm thirsty every hour." "Oh, I'm sorry." "No Maddie it's my fault. I have to know that it is also new to you. We'll just go to Taco Bell now and grab a bite." I smile and my stomach rumbles again. We both begin to laugh.

Luke decided that we are not eating inside but we just pick some up and eat it in the car. It is almost dark and we have at least an hour to drive. I offer to drive but Luke refuses. I feel that we are getting closer to her. I wonder if she feels me coming to her. Is she even a predictor? My outfit is getting uncomfortable. The denim skirt is tight and the fabric rubs against my skin. I wish I hadn't changed out of my sweats. They are in the trunk and we are already on the highway. "Luke can we maybe stop because this skirt is beginning to sit very uncomfortable." "Yeah sure." "Thanks, do you also want to change or not." "I'm okay. Do you already have a hotel for our stay?" "Oh gosh, I totally forgot. I can call something." I offer. Luke shakes his head. "You always forget something huh, I just will compel somebody by the reception for the best room." I smile. Why is it so handy to have a vampire boyfriend. I see the skyline of New York in front of us. It is not that close but New York is big so I can already see it. A small parking spot for truckers and other cars is were luke parks his car so I can change in my sweats again. I will enter the hotel as a slob. Luke is looking around us to see if someone is looking at me. "Go quick, I want to be in New York before midnight," Luke says. "Okay, me too you know," I respond. I change quickly into the sweats and step back into the car. Luke closes the trunk and steps into the driver's seat. Is eyes are meaningless. "Are you okay?" I ask. Luke says nothing. "Luke?" "I'm sorry, I am a bit thirsty." "Do you want some?" I put my wrist out to him. He pushes it away. "Why not, your thirsty," I say. "Because I have some blood bags in the cooler. The cooler is in the backseat. Can you grab some for me?" That is one thing I'm never going to get used to. There are some plus points that my boyfriend is a vampire but it is kinda weird he drinks blood. I turn around and see the cooler. I open it and it is completely filled up with blood bags. I grab one and give it to him. "Do you get these from the hospital or do you know somebody that works there?" I ask him. "Niall and I compelled someone that works by the hospital. She is compelled by bringing us blood bags but you may know her. She is our mother. We compelled our mother and father." he says. "That they think they are your parents. That's smart. Now nobody will know your actual parents are.." I stop myself before I say something hurtful. "You mean dead?" "Yes, I'm sorry." "Don't be. I actually wouldn't want them to live like I have to right now." "That is kinda sweet. Do you miss them?" "Yes, especially my mom. When my dad died I saw him grow old but my mom died very early." I see a tear rolling down his cheek. Why is he so pretty and sweet when he is opening himself to me. He never told me anything about his past when I didn't know about his vampirism. Maybe he just trusts me more now. I give him a kiss on the cheek.

We enter New York and I open my phone for a hotel. I see one with four stars. It is not that expensive. I give Luke the route and we drive to a big building. Luke parks the car and the bags. I grab the cooler and we enter the building. The big doors are made of glass, the doorman asks for our bags and luke give the two other bags but I keep the cooler with me. "You can give it If they do weird I just compel them." I nod and give the cooler to the doorman. He smiles at me. It is a very creepy smile. I fake a smile back and follow luke further inside. The hall has marble flooring and there are a lot of benches and chairs around coffee tables. I go and sit on one of the chairs and Luke walks to the front desk. A few minutes later he comes back with two key cards. "We have one of the nicest rooms and we don't have to pay." He laughs and says to the doorman which number we have. The doorman nods and gives our bags a sticker with the room number and gives them to one of his colleagues. We step into the lift, the lift is fully made of mirrors. I grab my phone and make a mirror selfie with luke. He gives me a kiss and I take another picture. He is just so cute. The doors open and we are on floor five. We stop in front of room number 528. It is a big luxurious room, it has a big kingsize bed and the bathroom is enormous. I think I've never been to such a luxurious hotel. We have to get some sleep otherwise we will never find Olivia tomorrow.

"I'm going to take a shower," Luke says. "Yeah sure, I will go tomorrow morning." I go and sit on the bed and turn on the TV. Some boring New York information show pops up. It shows some of the best places to visit. All sorts of photos of buildings, the empire state building, some sort of bar, restaurants, the statue of liberty. A small bar on the photo stays in my mind. I've seen it somewhere. I can't remember when and were. A small knock on the door takes me out of my concentration. The colleague of the doorman is there with our bags. I don't have a dollar on me so I can't give him any tip. I take the bags and close the door. Luke comes out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist. He is gorgeous. I shake my head and change my sweats for a shirt that I took from luke his bag. I step into the bed and Luke does quickly a pajama short on and lays next to me. I'm very tired so I fall asleep very quickly.

...

The sunlight comes through the curtains and it wakes me up. Luke is already up and is ordering room service. The memory of the small bar comes to my mind again. Good Place. That is the name of the small bar. Something tells me that Olivia is there. "Luke we have to go to the Good Place, it is a small bar in New York and something in me tells me that Olivia is there." "Alright but first we are going to eat some breakfast and you wanted to shower." I smile and nod. I walk into the enormous bathroom and take a quick shower. I can't wait to find her.  Everything is so close right now. Maybe I find someone who is just like me. The knock on the door is a waiter bringing breakfast. We eat breakfast together and I search for a route to the bar. I hope she is working there or something like that. We go outside and go to the car. "Is the traffic not super busy here n New York?" I ask Luke. "Yes, we are going on the subway." he laughs and takes my hand and we begin to walk to the nearest subway.
