Chapter 19

We walk back to the hotel. I'm sad that I have to leave already. Luke showed me a lot of nice places in New York, but we have to go back now. My father would kill me if I was here longer than I supposed to be. I found my cousin and talked to her. That is why I went to New York. Olivia scared me at first with the talks about my grandmother but I trust her. I think she is honest with me. My grandmother wanted me to come to France so she could 'explain everything'. I just don't believe her anymore. The things she did to Olivia. She followed her until she blocker her out. She was going to kill her for more power. Why would she do that? I know she isn't a full predict but that shouldn't be a reason to kill her. I hope I will never cross my ways with that woman. I think my father was scared of her too. That is why he never told me anything about all of this. He wanted me to live a normal life without any of this. I don't know why but I suddenly trust him a lot more than before. Mabey because my dad has to protect me, or just because he told me. All the answers are coming to my questions. One question is still unanswered. What the hell am I supposed to do for Maryville?

We enter our room and grab our bags. I bought a keychain with the statue of liberty on it. My mom thinks I'm at Alex her house. Staying there for the week. I hope my mom forgives me when I tell her. Maybe I just shouldn't tell her. I grab the cooler with Luke his blood bags in it. It isn't as heavy as before. That means he has had a lot. I open it and see it is almost empty. Luke walks past me. "Why are you so nosy," he asks. "I, I just noticed it was lighter than before." I smile but it isn't a real one. "Maddie, just don't think about me and think about yourself." "Alright, but do you have enough for the drive back?" "What did I just say. Think about yourself." I turn around and grab my own bag and walk to the door. "I will wait for you in the lobby," I say and walk away. I hope he knows I'm not mad. I'm just irritated. I wanted to do the right thing. The lift is not that fast and it stops at every level. I enter the lobby and see the workers just minding their own business. The people in the lobby are also minding their own business. Why aren't they at the front desk. Oh gosh. Something is wrong.

I see a guy attacking me and throwing me on the ground. My arm begins to bleed and all the people that were sitting in the lobby so calmly are running towards me. I cover my face and feel nothing. I open my eyes and see all the people still sitting in their chairs. What the hell. I look at my arm and see no scratch or anything. I look behind me and there is one guy standing next to a plant. It is the guy who attacked me. Wait, no one attack me so was it a vision. I search for my phone and I feel the guy coming towards me. I quickly walk to another spot but it doesn't help. My eyes close and I see another vision with me just landing in another spot. I find my phone and dial Luke's number. "I'm coming down just a minute," Luke answers the phone quickly. "Luke, I'm in trouble. There is a guy here attacking me. Well not right now but I had a vision. It is going to happen in a bit." "Maddie search for a safe spot I'm coming down." "I don't have much time." I hang up the phone and walk around in the lobby. Every step I set, I see another vision with me ending on the ground with all those people around me.

The guy is now very close and Luke is still not here. What am I suppose to do? Olivia. My head hurts and I scream her name. In a second my phone is ringing and I see it's Olivia. I answer it. I'm out of breath but I can say what I wanted to say. "Olivia, I need your help." "I saw it, Maddie what are you doing?" My breathing has stabilized. "I'm in danger, all these guys here are going to attack me, Luke is still upstairs. What am I supposed to do?" "Just stay calm and find a spot in the room where you don't have a vision of that. That spot is one where their epic plan will fail." "But Liv I don have long." "Just find that spot. The longer you move the longer they have to wait." It makes sense. I walk around in the lobby but again everywhere is a vision. I walk to some of the guys in the chairs but the visions are just getting worse. Until I'm at a spot next to a guy in a grey hoodie. I can see his face but the visions are gone. I look around me and some of the guys are standing up and walking away. There plan failed.

I feel a hand grab mine and I see it's the guy in the grey hoodie. "What the hell, Let me go!" I shake my hand but the guy doesn't let me go. He just pulls me closer. Why am I not having visions about this? The guy stands up and in a second we are in the janitor room. Well, now I know how vampire speed feels like.  A vampire.  "Let me go you freak," I scream and try opening the door. The hand of the vampire is on the door and keeps it closed. I look at the vampire. "Who are you?" I ask him. The guy takes is hood and I see it is Niall. "What the hell are you doing here?" "Luke asked me to come here after he learned about your, well, powers." "Are you serious, I can handle myself." I turn around but Niall is again in front of me. "Maddie, I studied the supernatural for a long time I know what you are and Which people you should look out for." What he says is tempting to listen longer too. I just don't like him after I learned about what he did to his brother. "Now, we are going to walk out of this to the car and you not going to say or try to do anything." I nod and we walk to the car.

I take place in the passenger seat in Luke his car. Luke is sitting in the driver's seat with all the bags in the car. The second I close the door Luke drives away and we begin the long eleven-hour drive back home. "Luke, why didn't you save me? But Naill did," I ask him. "I know what risked we were taking by going. And after I learned about you I knew more attacks would come so I asked him to keep an eye out for you when I wasn't around. Just for protection." "Why are you doing that, you just said in the hotel room that I should focus on myself and not on you but you constantly focus on me." "I'm just trying to protect you, and keep you safe." "Yeah, but it was my decision to go here and my responsibility to keep myself safe." "Maddie I don't want to fight." "Neither would I." I am actually tired of all of this and the day was a bit heavy as well.

When I open my eyes we are home. Why didn't Luke wake me? He drove the whole way. I slept the whole way. Oh gosh, I didn't apologize. I sit straight up and see I'm not home. Where am I? The leaves under me crunch and I hear voices coming my way. I stand up and hide behind a tree. A wolf walks past me and stops right in front of me. It looks at me and then just walks a bit further. A guy walks to the wolf. He has a bag with him. His face just like a wolf and his hands are claw. What the hell is this? I see the full moon passing and the guy turns back from a half-wolf to a normal boy. Andrew. Since when is he a wolf? I thought only Jenny and Ethan were werewolves. The wolf is beautiful. It is white but also has some brown and grey. The wolf starts to transform and I see it turning into a girl. Jenny. Andrew pulls some clothes out of the bag and gives them to her. I can't hear them. I'm too far away. Jenny and Andrew hug each other and kiss. The view is getting blurry.

Luke's POV

"Jenny, Andrew. Don't leave me!" she screams. I tried calming her down but she doesn't seem to wake up. She wakes up and screams. Just screams. It is very loud. "Mads, what the hell happened. I tried waking you up but you just didn't." "I had a vision, a very weird one," she says and lays her head on the window.
