Chapter 4: Let Her Go

Renz face palm his self.

What he thought while ago was to rape Jiya. No. Not basically rape. He'll make love to her. Make love huh? But yeah. Rape. Kung gagawin nya yun, he would leave Jiya no choice but to marry him. Iniisip nyang wala na syang pakialam kung magalit ito sa kanya but he still wants Jiya back.

But what the hell?

He wrestled with his conscience.

Yes .

No.

Yes.

No.

Yes.

No.

"Arggghhhh!!!!" sigaw nya sabay bato ng bote ng alak at tumama yun sa sofa at hindi nabasag kaya lalo syang napikon.

He bitterly laughed on how odds are against him.

"Only know you love her when you let her go. So let her go.. ."

He just overheard the lyrics of the song sa kapitbahay. And it somehow help him decide.

Mahal nya si Jiya. So, maybe. The right thing to do is to let her go.

Masakit. Sobra. It's killing him inside.

But he really need to let go for Jiya's happiness.

Nagring ang phone nya.

Si Jasper.

"Bro. I will help you to get Jiya back."

"Seriously bro? Naisip mo yan?" gulat na react ni Renz sa sinabi ni Jasper. Nasa loob sila ng isang restaurant ngayon and   Jasper suggested what he was exactly thinking kanina. "Like really? Kung ako acceptable na maisip ko yun, pero what the hell! Jiya is your sister and ... huh whatever."

"Bro, there's no other way. At saka I trust you. Oh ano? Take it or leave it?" si Jasper.

Huminga ako ng malalim. "I'll take it.!" So Why not?

"See. Me is so matalino." si Jasper, pa-gay.

"Ulol!"

"Haha. Pano bro. Una na ako. Thanks for the food."

"Sige."

"Good luck to you."

"Yeah. Good luck to me." Renz agreed.

Ten minutes ng nakakaalis si Jasper and Renz is still processing things when someone sit beside him. Babae. Pero hindi chix. Haha.

Renz never mind her pero bigla itong nagsalita.

"One day, you're going to miss a bus you used to ride because it's not going to come anymore." she started.

Renz can hear her but he still don't mind.

"One of these days, that bus,  it's going to change its destination and it's not going to come around and everyone else will just wait for the next one or will take a jeep, a train or walk, or run and will go on with their lives."

Hindi pa rin lumilingon si Renz but he was listening intently.

"While you, you won't be able to go on with your life. You'll be standing there, staring at the highway. Waiting for that very same bus."

Ang lalim ng hugot ni ate! Naisip ni Renz, still not saying a word.

"Alam mo kung bakit? Dahil iniisip mo, dapat mangyari ang mga bagay-bagay kung paano mo ito gusto."

Slowly, Renz is getting  her point.

"Well guess what? That's not how things happen! And you'll be the only one who can't go on with life, just because you can't ride on that bus anymore. So you know what, you have to let go, you have to know that things don't happen the way you think they're going to happen, but that's okay, because there's always the next bus, there's always another option... there's no need to play dirty games. If it meant for you, let it go , if it comes back -- ride on it again! If not, take another bus"

From Renz point of view, what she just said made a perfect sense.

Ok. Maybe.  I should let her go. Renz thought.

But only for now. Renz swore.
