Chapter 19- Why Not?

Jiya held her breath while waiting for Renz's answer.

She's still staring on his back and his hand was still holding the doorknob.

One minute.

Two minutes.

Three minutes.

Four minutes.

Five minutes.

No. Only seconds had past but for Jiya, it was like forever.

Hindi nya alam kung gaano katagal before Renz finally turn around to face her.

She traced more pain on his eyes.

"And who gives you the idea na iiwan ko kayo?"

"I-I.." Jiya was lost for words to say.

"Ganun ba kababaw ang tingin mo sakin? Jiya kung meron mang unang mang-iiwan sa atin, we both know na hindi ako yun." he was looking at her coldly habang nagsasalita.

Hindi nakaimik si Jiya.

"Trust me, I'll be back. I just need  to breath." wika ni Renz saka muling tumalikod at tuluyan ng binuksan ang pinto.

Isinubsob ni Renz ang ulo sa manibela ng sasakyan. He let his tears run freely on his cheek.

He felt so worthless.

He felt so alone.

He felt so unlovable.

Paanong hindi nya maramdaman yun?

He was always ignored.

He always get hurt.

Naalala nya pa, nung maghiwalay sila ni Jiya,-- akala nya yun na ang pinakamasakit na bagay.

He thought that being alone was the worst feeling ever.

But he was wrong.

Coz he now realized that the worst feeling ever is being treated like you are nothing.

"Ahhhh! Damn it!"

Nagsimula na syang magmaneho.

He needs space.

He needs to breath.

He needs someone to talk to.

He tried to call Jasper but he's not answering his call.

As much as possible, si Jasper lang ang gusto nyang makaalam ng mga problema nilang mag-asawa. Coz he don't want other people to judge their relationship.

Kaya wala syang choice kundi ang huminga ng malalim para kahit papano ay mabawasan ang sakit at bigat ng dibdib nya.

Weak.

He felt so weak.

And he hates it!

He hates himself for being weak.

Napadaan sya sa isang mall. He park his car there and went inside. Nag-ikot sya. Hindi nya alam kung anong gagawin nya til he found himself inside the Shoes section.

He saw group of girls na sinusukat ang mga sapatos.  For unknown reason, he looks at them while they are laughing.

Isa sa mga yun ang may kinuhang sapatos at nagtanong kung may sizes ang ganung design. When the saleslady answered na yun na lang ang remaining stock, ay isinukat ng babae ang hawak nya.
