One Week Later.

Chris has taken Sebastian to his therapy session to give me some time to myself. I stand in the kitchen, baking cupcakes, humming along to the song on the radio. I sway my hips and swish my newly-dyed hair. I cannot believe I let Persephone dye it turquoise! I think Sebastian really likes it, he hasn't complained about the colour change.

I pour the cake mixture into their cases and put them into the oven.

My favourite Amy Winehouse song starts playing and I sing along, loudly. "'He walks away, the sun goes down. He takes the day but I'm grown. And in your way in this blue shade. My tears dry on their own.'"

I wonder how Sebastian's session is going? I hope he doesn't receive any more bad news without me there. Chris said that he would call me if there was any news or changes.

One Hour Later.

There's a knock on the door. I frown, I'm not expecting any visitors. Sebastian and Chris aren't due back home for another thirty minutes. I walk towards the front door and look through the spyhole, it's not Sebastian or Chris, it's someone I've only seen on the television...

...Gennifer Goodwin.

I open the door nervously. "Um...hello?"

She smiles at me. "Hi, are you Valerian?"

I nod.

"Hey! I've got a package for you." she holds out a large rectangular box of cream and gold. I stare at it for a moment before taking it from her cautiously. "You're supposed to open it now, the envelope inside I mean."

Balancing the box on the small, silver table in the hallway. I open it and the interior is stuffed with tissue paper and theres a cream and gold evelope. I open it carefully. It says:

To my beautiful bride-to-be,

Gennifer is going to help you get ready. Your carriage arrives at eight.

See you soon, Prinecess.

I look up and stare at Gennifer, she is completely unaware of my shocked expression.

What is Sebastian up to?

Later That Evening.

"Oh my gosh, these cupcakes are amazing!" Gennifer exclaims as she eats one of my freshly-iced cupcakes.

I smile at her. Reader, I feel like a completely different person. The box that Sebastian sent contained the most beautiful dress I have ever seen/owned. It is a fitted, nude gown that has gold sequins descending from the shoulders and eventually scattering further down the body like a smattering of stars. Also, it has long sleeves the cover my arms like a cape, making me look like an absolute princess.

I cannot believe Sebastian would buy me anything like this.

My hair is in it's normal style, only now it is turquoise.

There's a knock at the door, Gennifer puts down her half-eaten cupcake and looks at me with a knowing look, except I have no idea what I am supposed to know. "It would seem your lift is here." she says mysteriously.

I raise my eyebrows and glance at the clock, it states that it is eight o'clock, my lift is indeed here.

Let the evening begin...
