 Lily POV

As I walked away from my reproachful sister and my parents, I saw my friend Alice Fortescue and stopped to say hi.

"Hey Alice! Have a good summer?"

"Oh hey Lily! Yeah I had a good summer. Did you spend yours with Potter?" Alice asked slyly.

"Ewww Alice! I hate Potter and you know it! I had a very boy-free summer thank you very much!" I say jokingly.

"Awww come on. You two will date by the end of the year and get married after you graduate!." Alice argued back. "Come on Lily it's almost 11. Let's get to the train already!"
"Coming!" I say after silently praying I won't see Potter.

After boarding the train and getting in an empty compartment, Alice and I sat and were talking quietly until we heard several pairs of feet outside our compartment. Seconds later, Potter and his friends were at the doorway.

"Hello ladies!" Potter said looking at Alice and I. "I've come to collect my Gryffindor princess." His friends Sirius and Peter snickered and Remus had a wide grin on his face.

"I'd like to see you try, Potter." I say icily. James Potter was a stupidly good-looking boy with messy hair and an ego bigger than the book Alice was fake reading right now.

"Oooo, feisty one mate, Prongs. Better go before she punches you." Potter's best friend Sirius Black said in mock surprise.

"I can't even with all of you. Maybe Remus because he's actually sane but not you."

"Oh really Evans? I'll just have to take you. I'll be careful, I promise." Potter said with fake innocence. Before I could even retort, Potter whisked me up like I was his bride.
"I'm not putting you down until you call me James." Potter said with a wide grin on his while his friends all laughed.

"No." I said stubbornly.

"Then I'll just have to hold you here until we get off the train."

Alice wasn't helping much and offered to let the boys stay and discuss mine and Potter's wedding. I was getting really bored just laying in Potter's arms.  I almost fell asleep as Alice and the boys were arguing about napkin colors when I muttered to Potter.

"James put me down."

He looked at me and loudly said "WHAT WAS THAT EVANS? DID YOU SAY MY FIRST NAME?" A wide grin appeared on his face and he nudged Sirius and whispered in his ear and they both snickered.
In a perfect impression of Peeves the Poltergeist (a troublesome Hogwarts ghost)  Potter said:
"Won't put you down until you say please."

"I hate you." I said, exasperated.

I can think of 20 girls who would love to be held by James Potter, the famous Seeker with his messy black hair and hazel eyes and glasses.

Even quieter than last time, I asked Potter again.
"Please put me down James."
