Chapter Sixteen

Avery's POV

Standing in front of her made me nervous. My wings out, cocooning me. I felt a surge of strength and power here. Something I never felt back home. I was a nervous wreck! Anyone would be however, she is the Goddess of the moon. She is outrageously gorgeous! Whatever age she is, she doesn't look a day over twenty five.

"So my child, you want answers." She smiled.

My Goddess smile was so warm and loving, my nerves calmed down. I nodded trying to smile as kind as her. Knowing mine didn't come close to hers.

"What do you want to know?" The Goddess said.

I took a deep breathe closing my eyes. I opened them as I spoke, "I want to know what I can do to help Maddy. I mean Madison."

The Goddess grew serious, her whole body in a calm stance. She nodded thinking about my words. Then she turned and called for a man named Boyd. He walked in with sweat dripping off him. I remember my parents telling me about him.

"Yes mother?"

"Boyd, you know Jason and Ali's daughter?" She took his hand he held out for her.

"Yes. Madison. She is a bright young woman." He replied.

The Goddess grinned at her son then looked back at me. "Princess Avery, our Angel of Life wants to help her."

Boyd faced me, smiling. "Hello. It's nice to see you. It's been way to long. I haven't seen you since you were a baby and lived here."

"I lived here?" I was shocked by his words. I never knew I lived here at all.

"Your mother gave birth to you here. Didn't your parents tell you?" The Goddess frowned.

I wanted to face palm myself. Of course they told me. They told me and Adam on our birthday. How could I have forgotten.

I nodded, "Yes. They left out the part though about living here."

Why didn't mother tell me?

Maybe she didn't feel it was the right time. Star whispered to me.

You're finally talking to me now!

I mentally rolled my eyes at her then cut the mind link off.

"Happy birthday to you and Adam by the way." Boyd grinned at me.

"Thank you." I smiled back.

"If I may ask, what are you wanting to help Madison with?" Boyd tucked a small hand knife in the back of his pants.

"Well, when we were little I bite her. I accidentally made her a halfbreed. She isn't happy. I want to change that." I admitted.

He nodded, "So if I am understanding right, you want her back to the way she was born?"

"Yes." I nodded.

The Goddesses face was well collected. I could tell nothing what she was thinking. She kept her eyes on Boyd, occasionally casting glances in my direction. No one said anything. I wasn't quite sure what to say. My nervous were scattered around the realm by now.
