Chapter Twenty Four
Elena's POV
I dissolved into the realm as fast as I could.
"Elena? What are you doing here?" Annalise asked.
"I need to see the Goddess. Where is she?" I rushed my words.
Before Annalise could answer the Goddess walked in.
"What happened to my son Angel?" The Goddess angrily asked.
"Your son is fine. His mate however is not!" I hissed.
"Wait Boyd has a mate?" Annalise eyes were wide. "That can't be."
"What's wrong with her?" The Goddess frowned.
So I explained to the Goddess.
"This isn't good." The Goddess frowned after I told her what was happening to Maddison.
"What can we do to get Maddy awake?" I pleaded.
"Elena. Come with me." The Goddess walked towards her throne room.
I chased after her, "I need answers. I will not let my niece or family down."
"Elena dear, just come with me." She ordered.
Avery's POV
Awaiting mom to get back was taking forever. Our worry only increased as we watched Maddy lay unmoving. Boyd was a mess at this point, he would sit next to her with his head lolled down. Uncle Jason would send him murderous glares every so often, as he sat on Maddy's other side.
While I just stood in the corner watching Maddy for any kind of sign she was still there. I kept praying to the Goddess to help mom find answers and for Maddy to come back to us. I felt moms presence before I seen her. She appeared in the room, looking sad and scared.
"What did she say?" Uncle Jason asked rushing his words laced with worry.
Mom have him a half smile, "She didn't have a solution."
"What?" His eyes watered.
"Brother wait, she didn't have a answer but we searched her realms library." Mom explained.
"How could my mom not know? She's the Goddess!" Boyd cried and growled.
"She's a Goddess. She's supposed to know." I whispered.
"Listen to me, we found a prophecy in one of her books. We might be able to figure out how to get Maddy back." Mother said. "She said this is Maddy's choice to wake up or not."
"What was the prophecy?" Boyd asked.
"Maddy wouldn't want to stay frozen." I said at the same time Boyd talked.
Mom gave us hope. We needed hope and mom has it for us. I prayed that this would work.
"Here," Mom handed out a piece of paper to Boyd.
He read it with knotted brows and straight lips. Ever so often mumbling to himself.
Boy looked up, "What does this mean?"
"Let me see." I snatched it out his hand without bothering him to hand it to me.
'Frozen,
the wolf claims,
Sleeping with life nightmares,
Only the Angel's tainted soul,
Coming together will awaken the froze,
Unmask the hidden will be her fate,
Only mates can be complete,
Within the background he will rise,
Hand in hand will the sun shine,
Friends and family will battle,
Only the Wise will bring the peace.'
I didn't get what this meant, but I have a feeling it's going to be big.
