Chapter One
"Come on Avery it's time to get up!" The annoying voice screamed, waking me up from my beauty sleep.
"Ughhh. Let me sleep!" I groaned.
"Avery come on!" The voice was angry now.
I chucked a pillow at him, "No!" I pulled the cover over my head.
"I'm getting dad!" Adam huffed.
"Whatever."
His footsteps got further away, leaving me with peace and quiet. I closed my eyes, about to fall back asleep when the covers were jerked off the bed and pillows were pulled from beneath my head.
"Hey!" I whined.
"Avery you have to get up. It's your firsts day of your sophomore year! You don't want to be late!" My dad's voice was way to happy.
"Dad it's only six, school doesn't start til eight fifteen." I protested.
"Avery sweetie it's ten past seven." He chuckled.
"What?!" I quickly jumped out of bed pushing my dad out of my room and closing the door.
I jumped in the shower, hurrying to get myself clean. I jumped out after I was done, to blow dry my hair. I curled it into tight long curls, flipping it to the left. I painted liquid eyeliner on top of my eye lids.
Applying a purple-pink color eye shadow on, then brushing mascara on my lashes, making them look fuller and longer. I applied some eye liner on my bottom eye lids. I ran to my closet quickly grabbing a dark purple dressy tank.
Matching black stylish yoga pants then slipping on dark purple open toe pumps. I slide my black leather jacket on over my tank top. Snatching my book bag and phone from my night stand.
I stuffed my phone charger in one of the pockets. Going down stairs to the dining room where all my family and friends was seated around the long table.
"Good morning." My dad kissed my forehead.
"Morning." I yawned.
"I heard somebody slept a little later then she should've." My mom placed a glass of blood in front of me.
"Mom please, I know this speech." I sighed.
"Avery Miracle don't talk back to me!" Mom snapped.
"Sorry." I winced at her voice.
"Elena baby take it easy." My dad tried calming my mom.
She rolled her eyes, giving him a firm weak smile. I gulped my glass of blood down. I sighed savoring the taste, AB positive my favorite. I felt the alive feeling grow from inside me.
"Avery you riding with me?" Adam asked.
"Sure." I sighed.
"Bye mom! Bye dad!" Adam kissed moms cheek turning to leave.
"Don't forget your bag!" Mom called.
"Okay!" Adam replied.
"Bye dad." I kissed his cheek then faced mom, "bye mom." I hugged her.
