Eren eventually came back into his room, forcing a smile at me before avoiding my eye contact. He wore a gray tank top along with red flannel pajamas. He was holding a tray with one plate, all set up as if it was a dinning room table. I sat up a bit more and watched the brunet settle the tray on my lap.
Five generous slices of bacon with a stack of 2 pan cakes. Butter, maple syrup, and cinnamon was sprinkled over the stack in a pleasing way. Off to the top right was a glass of milk. "Oh wow... Thank you." I smiled a bit more, looking up to see the brunet smiling down at me. "No problem."
Eren left for a brief minute, coming back with his own plate of breakfast. By then, I already tried both the perfectly crispy bacon and light, fluffy golden pancakes. The nostalgic taste was so comforting...
Eren then sat on the ground, glumly looking at his plate and playing with his food. "Eren, you don't have to sit on the floor anymore." I assured him.
He looked up at me with puppy dog eyes and eventually got up, walking around to lay down beside me. He looked like he was trying to think of something to say as he ate.
"The food is delicious. You really do have a gift." I smiled softly, leaning my head closer in attempt to catch his eye contact. Also because I couldn't really see him.
He looked at me and looked a bit confused. "Thank you..?" I chuckled lightly at the way he looked at me. "My contacts fell out." I motioned to his nightstand where my journal and contacts laid.
"Ah..." He nodded, tapping his finger nervously on his plate. God, this is awkward...
"We should talk about what happened..." I spoke a bit softer, glancing to Eren's bedroom door to make sure it was closed.
"Y-Yeah..." Eren muttered. Looked like he wasn't that hungry. "Mikasa knows about what happened. Not my mom though. She's still sleeping." He began. I nodded softly, not really worried that Mikasa knows.
"I'm not sorry about what I said last night. I meant every word." I started off, gulping since it wasn't easy for me to talk about. "I deserved it." Eren nodded along, avoiding my eyes again.
"Well, um... Since you already ripped my head off last night-" Eren began, soon reaching over to his desk drawer that was right beside his bed. He pulled out the letter that started all this chaos.
"O-Oh, god... You still have that?" I groaned, flinching at the sight of it.
"Yeah... I didn't want it getting lost with anyone else... If you want it—"
"I really don't want it. I wish I could burn it." I shook my head, my fingers curling around the sheet that covered my lap.
"Hey, if that's what you want." Eren chuckled lightly, shrugging as he tossed it back on the desk.
"Hey... Could you pretend that you didn't read that? Just for a second?" I turned myself to face Eren more, receiving a soft nod from him.
"I um... I like you. Like-like you. Okay, no that's ridiculous. I love you and I'm positive that it's love." I confessed officially, nervously chuckling.
