you certainly didn't want to show it, but after hearing such news you had to scream to your friend hilda
felix's father had arranged this marriage as a kind of allied treaty with the alliance, showing that despite their actions, the fraldarius house was on your sidethe gesture was kind and it certainly was a way to show their true intentions, but you couldn't help but wonder how felix felt about it

thinking more on the marriage, you became worried what if felix actually hated you?
he only seemed to talk to you during training and even so, it was often snide comments if you beat him you wanted to ask, but you were scared to, so you consoled in claude instead
"i just don't truly see why you're so worried about it," he said, "even if he hates you, you're still getting married. i think you should just ask him because no matter what, the outcome will be the same"

he opens and looks at you questioningly, but nevertheless lets you enter
you sit in his desk chair while he sits back on his bed and you take a deep breath, collecting your thoughts
"are you happy?"
"what?"
you roll your eyes, "are you, yknow, okay with marrying me?"
"why wouldn't i be?" he asked
you explained your concerns. you felt as though a marriage that was forced instead of gradual and loved could be tense and lead to bad feelings, if it hadn't already
you told him you didn't want for him to hate you, you wanted for the two of you to life a happy life together
to which he responded, "i would be happy with you."
cue your turn to say, "what?"
felix stood up and walked towards you, bending down and cupping your cheek gently
"i am so happy to be able to marry you. it saves a lot of trouble, because even if i confessed and you didn't feel the same, i would still get to marry you."
you stifled a laugh, "did you ask claude for advice?"
he admitted that he asked claude and you let loose your laugh,
"i did too! he said that if i asked you and you didn't feel the same, the outcome would still be marriage."
felix let out a rare smile
"i'm glad that's the outcome, because i wouldn't want any other future."
