- okay so firstly i'd like to say that claude would never ever ever let height be an issue with him
- he thought that like,, maybe you didn't like shorter guys and would prefer someone like lorenz
a but who was he kidding who would want someone like lorenz

- he liked you for u.. tallness and everything
- when you start dating, he isn't afraid to do things despite the height difference
- he likes to be the big spoon, even on rough days. but some days you just have to make him be little spoon while you curl around him to comfort him
- claude, despite him hiding it, is definitely a damaged individual and he doesn't know when to rely on others
- hell, he's never really relied on someone other than the professor
- but once you finally break down those walls he's all for being little spoon on his bad days
- sometimes just cuddling up to your warmth while you shield him from his past is all he needs for a very much needed nights sleep
- claude isn't necessarily short, but he isn't necessarily tall either and i assure you you're not the only girl taller than him
- but you are one of the few

- you wonder if claude would want a smaller girl, someone he could lean down and kiss like all of the romantic novels you've read
- claude is observant, so he picks up on these feelings
- he sees the slightly envious looks that you give lysithea or hilda, how you silently reprimand yourself for not being like them
- he sees your face when someone will make an off handed comment about your height, your long legs, anything
- his heart nearly breaks when he finally gets you to tell him about it and you break down, telling him how you feel like you're not good enough for him
- but then claude makes it all better, like he always does, pulling you into him and whispering sweet nothings
- tl;dr, claude doesn't care. he love love love loves you so much and he thinks you're perfect the way you are
