Why is it when I come drama always happens in the paddock? "Daniel wait! Please!" I called after him and he stopped. I shook my head and he walked back to me. "I'm just here to pick everyone up for dinner. Let's just enjoy ourselves tonight." I said.
"Fine. Well my guys are changed and ready to go," he replied and I hugged him.
"You're the best."
"I know."
"DANIEL!"
"Oh come on you love me." he joked and I just laughed. "We are ready to Partyyyyy!" I heard Carlos yell coming up to with Lando. "You two look very handsome in your tux's." I grinned and they both blushed.
"Thank you, Scarlett," Carlos said with a funny smile.
"Is it true you can dance?" he asked and Lando smirked. "She certainly can," he said. "Aww, Lando don't ruin my secrets," I said ruffling his hair.
"The gang is back together!" Toto called as he walked to the group with Lewis in tow and Valtteri talking to him. "Alright let the fun began!" I called. Honestly, how worse could it get?
A lot worse. It's 11:45 pm and we are all drunk and having way too much fun for a race weekend. Even Toto and Christian were drunk, which is really not good. I sat by myself at the bar when Max sat next to me. "Hey why are you all alone?" he asked.
"Shut up." I snapped and suddenly my back was against the bar, "What is up with you, Scarlett?" he asked softly and I looked down. "My eyes are up here," he smirked.
I looked into his crystal blue eyes, "And what's down there that you don't want me to see?" I whispered as my thigh brushed his and his eye darkened.
"Wouldn't you want to know," he smirked pulling me close to him.
"Max...we can't," I whispered.
"One night of fun for both of us," he said and I felt the gears turning in my head. Charles...he had his chance and we both need to move on.
"Fine," I whispered and he walked with me to the elevator. He pushed me against the back of the elevator between his arms, "Relax baby." he whispered into my ear and shivers went down my back. I wrapped my arms around his neck, "Make me relax." I whispered.
His lips met mine roughly again as our lips played a dance of tango. He led me out of the elevator, "I am not letting you do the walk of shame, where is your room." he said and I handed him the key card. We quickly slipped into the room and he threw me on the bed.
"WHAT THE HELL!" I heard a voice yell and we all jumped apart.
"Who...Charles!" Max exclaimed as he flipped the lights on.
"What is going on here!" Charles exclaimed.
"What do you think is going on," Max exclaimed.
"I guess you really are a slut." Charles muttered.
"Oh, and you're not since you have a girlfriend." I snapped.
"Excuse me but you are sleeping with one of my friends, that's low!" he yelled. Max sprung at Charles landing a punch on his cheek.
"STOP!" I screamed getting in between them, but when Charles went to swing back he hit me instead. I felt blood running down my cheek.
"GET OUT!" Max yelled at him and Charles scrambled out.
"Wait! Get me, Daniel and Lewis, NOW!" Max yelled and Charles was gone. "Are you ok?" he whispered, but I shook my head no.
"Well, it's ok not to be ok," he said back and I started crying. Max picked me up bridal style and went sat me on the bed. He gave me sweatpants and a t-shirt to change into form my suitcase. "Thank you," I whispered to his back since he was turned around to let me change.
Suddenly the door burst open and Max shielded me, "I'm all good Max." I whispered and he nodded letting the guys in. "I'm so sorry for everything love," Lewis whispered as he took me in his arms. "I'm sorry too" I whispered. "I need to go sleep guys. We all do." Dani announced. "Yeah, everyone go to bed," I called.
"Love you." Lewis and Daniel called as they left the room.
Max plopped down beside me on the bed and looked into my eyes with a small smile. "Whenever you smile you get a sparkle in your eyes," he whispered and I looked down with a smile. "Whenever you watch a race you look happiest or when you are meeting people. Whenever you are sad your work to make people feel better and not yourself. You come to a surprise us at our races and then when we are mean to you, you never hold it against us." He whispered and I smiled.
"Why are you like this?" He asked.
"Because if you guys could you would do the exact same for me," I replied but he shook his head.
"No. We can't do the same for you, because of our jobs. There has to be something else." He said. Might as well say it now then never.
"I was at Suzuka that day. I was 14 years old and watched my favorite person get in a horrific accident. While I could have been mad at the drivers and everyone associated with Formula 1 I decided that I would be there for a few of you guys. Just so when you go onto the track no matter what family problem or relationship problem you know you have someone always cheering for you." I explained and I watched a tear slide down his cheek.
"Look, I don't talk about this a lot, but my cousins and I are some of the last Rossi's. I lead a country that I wasn't supposed to be a leader of. I was supposed to marry Lando and go to races for HIM, not for the royal family. I was supposed to have a normal life, but my cousins made a stupid mistake. Jules, then my brother, then my mother, then my father, and now my uncle. I am 19 almost 20 and my family is dropping like flies and I'm scared it's going to be one of you soon." I confessed and Max gave me a look.
"As much as tonight would have been nice...I can't." Max whispered.
"Neither can I," I replied.
"I respect you way too much to compromise you like this and plus I'm taking you out to dinner on Sunday evening." He said slyly and I chuckled "What are you planning?" I asked.
"Just how tonight should have gone." He whispered into my ear and the shivers returned.
"Max...I'm not compromised." I whispered into his ear and walked to the bathroom to take a shower. A few minutes later it revealed a naked Max, "Nobody needs to know." He said and I smirked. *scene fades to black*
