Gray's POV
When I got home from school, I went up to my room to get started on my homework for the evening. Its been a long time since Noah has been to school and it all started because of him, Ben. He made her be afraid, made her not want to go, not to leave her own house. Every time I pass him, I give him the death glare. Unfortunately, I can't threaten him anymore, I have a strike with the principle and if you get two, you'll get suspended, and that will go on my school record file. And I can't go over to Noah's, it'll be awkward after what "we" did. All I can do is stare from afar.
My head popped up, startled from the sound of my front door closing. My parents are not home till 8:0pm, it's 4:00.
"Gray, you home?" A soft female voice echoed throughout the house. Leaving my room and approaching the stairs, I spot her, Olivia. I signed in annoyance.
"Hey Liv," I mumbled as she giggled and walked towards me.
Kissing my cheek, she follows me up to my room. As we entered, I went right back to my desk while she made herself comfortable on my bed.
As I sat down and picked up my pencil, she started to blabber.
"Soooo babe?" I mentally sighed, turning my attention to her, setting my pencil down.
Our eyes connected and she smiled brightly. "I picked out two dresses for the dance and I needed your approval," Reaching into her shopping bag, she pulled out to dresses, a red one and a green one.
Red always looked good on Noah, it made her pale, fragile skin-pop.
She held them up and I mentally cringed.
Green never looked good on her or red.
Noah could make every color work.
"So which one?" She asked, looking vulnerable.
Blinking several times, I spat out, "Try them on, then I'll decide." Looking into her child-like eyes, she giggled, running into my bathroom.
After she closed the door, I froze in thought.
I wonder if Noah's going to the dance.
Does she have a date?
Better not that Ashton guy—
"Babe?"
My head popped up shocked, not at her wearing that awful dress, I was thinking about Noah.
"What do you think?" She asked, her pink cheeks kinda matched the dress.
Noah's cheeks turned redder when I kissed her.
STOP!
"Do you like it, baby?" I stare into her pure innocent eyes and feel bad, grief.
Feeling like I've had adversity this whole time, being away from Noah has dragged me down in the dirt. I don't feel the same as I was before the school year even started.
When I kissed Noah, I felt so right, even if she pushed me away, I'm still gonna try, because I know she feels it too.
"Do you hate it?" She whimpers. Is she crying?
I got up and hugged her, feeling more grief when my body collides with hers. I take a breath and get ready for it.
"Olivia," I spoke, pulling away from her, her eyes vulnerable, her tone, bitchy, just like Marcy.
