WEDDING

Jasmine's POV

Today is the day. The day my last name will change into Shawn's and the day which will be one of my favorites ever. I really can't tell how incredibly excited and happy I am, I mean I was just a teenage girl crushing over a famous singer and now I am marrying him?
How's that even possible?
- Hey, you still there? - Sophie chuckles while putting more lipstick on my lips.
- Oh uhm yeah, I was just daydreaming I guess. - I say coming back to reality.
I'm sitting in front of a big mirror in a room, Sophie is doing my make-up and my mom is preparing the dress. Yes, in an hour I will marry the love of my life and my name will no longer be 'Jasmine Taylor'.
- Okay, make-up's nearly done, you look really 'marryable' and you even haven't the dress on yet. - she chuckles.
- Well I guess I'm gonna marry in this t'shirt and sweatpants then.
- What? What did I hear you say? - mom shouts from the other end of the room.
- I'm kidding! - I laugh and my mom sighs.
I stand up and look at myself in the mirror. I normally don't put on make-up, but I have to say that it looks good. Maybe I should put in on more often?
- Okay, the dress now! - Sophie calls my mom and she comes over to us.
- Oh dear, I'm gonna cry!
- Please don't. - I say while slowly putting on the dress.
I have to be careful with it, I don't want to step on it.
My hair fall down back as Sophie closes the zipper.
I look at myself in the mirror and can't believe how amazing this dress looks.
Fuck, I'm gonna marry the frigging one and only Shawn Mendes, the love of my life!
Suddenly tears roll down my cheeks.
- I'm so happy! - I whisper while crying.
- Stop it! - Sophie screams, taking a handkerchief and carefully speckling the tear drops from my face.
- Hell Jassy, you're make-up will be washed away before Shawn could see it. - she chuckles, hugging me.
- But I'm so happy that you're happy. - she gives me a kiss on my cheek.
- Oh god let's do your hair before I'm starting to cry too. - mom says.
We all laugh and I sit down again, already totally overwhelmed.

Shawn's POV

Could the girl please stop putting my tie back and forth? I'm 20 years ol and definetely old enough to put on my ties, I mean I had to learn it within a young age!
- Okay okay, I'm gonna take it from here, thank you. - I say smiling and take the ends of my tie.
She just nods and walks away, leaving me alone in front of a big mirror.
- Is someone nervous here? - Zubin chuckles walking over to me.
- Is this so obvious? - I ask him trying to knot my tie, but my hands are too shaky.
- Dude, I know you since years, of course it's obvious! - he says laying down his phone on the desk.
He takes my tie and knots it.
- Thanks.
- Always. Don't think too much about it, it'll be all good. Dude, you stood in front of millions of people singing your heart out! - he motivates me.
- I know, but that's not the same! You can't tell me that you weren't nervous on your wedding!
- Yes, I was. And that's why I have the experience to tell you not to think too much. Just focus on Jasmine and forget the people around you, well I couldn't even look away from my wife, she was just too gorgeous! - he says.
- I-I just don't want to ruin my own wedding.
- Haha why should you? - he laughs.
- Bro, you know how clumsy I am. What if I trip over the step at the altar and fall on Jasmine? Or what if I can't say 'yes' because I'm too nervous and she thinks that I don't want to marry her? She's everything I need for living and I don't want to lose her and my baby, bro-
- Wow! You're more nervous than I expected. - he interrupts me.
- Wait a second, I'll be right back. - he says leaving the room.
I hope everything will be just fine. I want to marry her, I need to marry her. Maybe I'm thinking too much, but I just can't stop thinking. I walk to a chair and sit down, trying to calm down a little bit.
- Do you want some water? - girl asks me smiling.
I nod and take the glass, drinking from it.
A second later the door room opens again.
- I brought someone with me and he also got the experience! - Zubin says.
My dad walks in and smiles. I stand up, walking towards him.
- Dad, I'm so nervous and happy at the same time!
My voice and hands shake, I can't control it. It's way worse that the first time I played in front of millions of people.
- I know son, I was nervous too when I married your mother. - dad smiles stroking my back.
- Well, what can I do? I don't want to ruin it!
- You won't. When you stand at the altar with Jasmine in front of you, you won't even think about anything else than her, okay? All of sudden the nervousness will disappear, believe me Shawn. You got this! - he hugs me tight.
- Thanks dad and thanka Zubin! - I smile.
I guess they are right. I can do this!

Jasmine's POV

Now it's time! My dad walks up to me, taking my arm and smiles at me.
- You ready? - dad asks smiling and I nod.
- Yes, yes I am. - I say nervous and we walk through the door.
The music starts playing and everyone stands up, looking at me.
At the end of the red carpet he's standing at the altar in a suit. My man.
I look at him smiling and he smiles back. I can't stop smiling.
As we arrive at the altar my dad let's go of me. I look at Shawn and our eyes meet. He looks so stunning, I'm gonna cry.
He takes my hand and gives it a kiss before turning to the registar who is ready to give his speech.

••

Do you Shawn Mendes, want to take Jasmine Taylor to your wife? - the registrar asks Shawn.
Shawn looks over to me smiling like an idiot.
- Yes, I do.
- And do you, Jasmine Taylor, want to take Shawn Mendes to your husband?
- Yes, I do.
- You're husband and wife now. You can kiss each other now.
And with that word our lips meet.
Everyone stands up and cheers, screaming congratulations.
- I love you, Jasmine Mendes. - Shawn says as we drift apart again.
- I love you too, Shawn Mendes. - I say crying.
- Babe no, I wanted to hold back my tears but now I can't anymore. - he chuckles and begins to cry as well.
Shawn hugs me tight before taking my hand.
- Let's go celebrate one of the best days of our lives.
