Part 70.

Jasmine's POV

About 5 minutes later after nearly everyone took a seat the big lights get out and just the stage shines in many coloueful lights.
A man in a suit walks on stage and everyone begins to applause.
- Good evening Ladies and Gentleman, I welcome you to the MMVAS 2018 in Toronto. - he says but gets cut off by all the people screaming and clapping hands.
- Haha I guess you're all very excited and I have to tell you that you need to be excited for tonight! We will have some surprising and amazing performances tonight and the after show party is gonna be the highlight of it! I hope y'all stay till the night is over! - he announces smiling bright and everyone begins to cheer again.
Suddenly I catch Aaliyah looking at me.
- Why are you looking at me like that? - I ask smiling and she shakes her head.
- Nothing, I just love seeing you happy. - Aaliyah says and turns around to the stage again.
I smile to myself because of her words.
'I love seeing you happy.'
She is the most adorable girl on earth I swear to god.
Suddenly I notice that I didn't listen to the man on stage for quiet some minutes.
- And now welcome her. The queen of Havana, Camila Cabello! - he shouts and walks off the stage al all of sudden all lights go out.
- Havana uh nana. - someone sings and a few seconds later the lights are focused on her and I see her walking over the stage.
I always loved the music from Camila.
As she sings her song I catch myself singing to it, moving my head.
A few minutes later she walks in the middle of the stage, beginning to say some words.
- I'm really grateful for being nominated! I hope the best wins, enjoy the rest of the night guys! - she smiles and walks down the stage up to her table.
Soon the man in the suit walks back on stage.
- She was lovely, wasn't she? - he says and everyone begins to cheer.
- Thank you Camila for this wonderful performance, we all loved it! And now it's time for a gentleman. The young canadian boy who was discovered on vine and now is one of the most popular people on this planet. The one who looks like a god, let's welcome the one and only Shawn Mendes! - he screams and the crowd flips out.
The lights get down and as soon as he walks on stage the lights get focused on him.
My heart begins to beat unbelievable fast, it feels like it would jump out of my chest any second.
He looks like perfection in person.
His lips so pink and soft, his eyes shine like thousand stars and his curls look so fluffy and adorable.
I love him.
He walks at the end of the stage which is only about 2-3 meters away from me.
He looks down at me smiling and winks.
- I love you. - Shawn whispers in my direction.
- I love you too. - I whisper back.
He smiles and looks up again.
He slowly starts to play the guitar before starting to sing.
- Help me, it's like the walls are caving in. Sometimes I feel like giving up, but I just can't. It isn't in my blood. - he sings with such a passion.
I love this song, the meaning behind it is so sad, but so beautiful. And the way he shows this feelings, just amazing.
Before I could notice I get goosebumbs.
I sing along the song. Aaliyah, Manny and Karen do the same.
They must be really proud of Shawn.
I stare at him all the time, trying to see every detail of him.
Suddenly his eyes meet mine and we look at each other for nearly 30 seconds. Our smiles get even brighter as longer as we look at each other.
I'm not lying when I say that I feel my heart skipping.
As the song ends be lays down his guitar and joggs down the stage into my direction, stopping in front of me and giving me a long soft kiss on my lips.
- I love you. - he says.
- I love you too.
He gives me another kiss before jogging back on stage, picking his guitar up again.
- Okay Ladies and Gentleman, I've got one more song. This song is one of my favorites, I wrote it about one person. About a girl I fell in love with about 1 year ago. From day one I loved her with all of my heart and I still do. This song is for you babe. - he says into the microphone and smiles at me.
Everyone begins to cheer and a few seconds later he begins to play.
- Sunrise with you on my chest, no blinds in the place where I live. Daybreak open your eyes, 'cause this was only meant to be for one night. - he sings.
I've never heard this song before but even if I heard the first words yet, I already love it.
I see Aaliyah filming me, but I don't care. All I do is sitting on my chair, looking at this beautiful human begin and listen to his angelic voice.
His eyes nearly never leave mine, just for the high notes when he closes them.
His passion, his love, his feelings.
This is one of the most beautiful moments in my life. Watching the person I love singing a song for me. A song about me.
As the song ends someone takes his guitar and gets off the stage.
- I'm not ready yet. I still have to say some things, some feelings and thoughts of me about someone. - Shawn says.
Everyone begins to cheer and Shawn stands there chuckling.
- So everything I'm gonna say is about one girl, about my girlfriend Jasmine.
Suddenly everyone looks at me. I feel heat rising in my body because of embarrassment.
It's uncomfortable to have a couple of thousand people staring at you.
- We met each other at one of my concerts last year. She was the only one left in the area, because she lost the ring of her grandma and  searched it. - he says and begins to chuckle.
How embarrassing!
- I saw her and immediately got butterflies in my stomach. I've never seen such a beautiful girl. I was curious and walked up to her, asking what she's searching. Her smile was so precious. I helped her search it and I furtunately found it. She said she has to go, but I couldn't take risk of never seeing her again and asked for her number. I don't know what it was, but she had something that made me feel attached to her. I needed to know her better and I am so happy that I got the chance to. - he stops talking for a second and wipes away some tears from his eyes.
- Sorry.
Oh gosh no, he's crying!
I feel tears filling in my eyes as well, but I try not to let them out.
- Well, we began dating each other for quiet a while and then I finally got the courage to ask her out. And she said yes. That was one of the best moments in my life. I love her so much, but I never knew that I could love somebody so much. Every morning when I wake up, I turn around and see her sleeping like an angel. She looks so adorable. And when I come back home she jumps into my arms, saying that she missed me. I'm just thinking about her all day, it drives me nuts. I feel so loved by her, she makes me the happiest man alive just with being here. I could never live without her again and I don't want to. I want to spend my future with her. Holding hands at 71 and still have pillow fights in bed. She is all I want, all I need in my life. - he says buts stops as suddenly a man walks on stage with an extremely big bunch of roses in his hands.
He gives them to Shawn and disappears again.
- Babe... - he says walking up to me.
All of sudden he takes out a little box before opening it. He knees down in front of me and starts to smile even more.
- Do you want to marry me? - he asks.
Suddenly tears left my eyes and I begin to cry.
- Yes, YES! - I shout and fall into his arms.
Everyone shouts and cheers and I'm laying in his arms crying the hell out of me.
Shawn just asked me if I want to marry him.
I can't explain what I am feeling right now.
Happiness, excitement, love.
Everything.
We're going to be husband and wife, we're going to be parents.
This can't be true.
Shawn and I stand up hugging and kissing each other. He gives me the gigantic bunch of roses and puts the ring on my finger.
Immediately Karen, Manny, Aaliyah and Andrew come up to us and congrats us.
- I am so proud of you Shawn. - I hear Karen saying as she hugs him crying.
After they congrats us Shawn joggs back on stage.
- Thank you guys, enjoy the night! - Shawn says smiling and walks up to our table again.
I just can't realise what just happened. I'm totally overwhelmed.
- Please stand up for a second. - he says wiping away his tears as he stands in front of me.
I do as he says and he sits down on my chair.
- Come sit on my lap, I wanna hug you the whole time while we're sitting here. - he claps his hands on his lap, showing me to sit down there.
I sit down and his arms immediately hug me from behind, his head lays on my shoulder.
- I love you babe, thank you for making me the happiest man alive. - he whispers before putting his hand on my stomach.
- I love you two. - he says.
- We love you too.
