Chapter 46: Love of the Demons

Dylan's POV

After the fight of Aira and Rock, the demigoddess invited us to have dinner. We were shy because it was supposed to be us to invite the demigoddess for dinner. Hanggang ngayon, hindi parin ako makapaniwala sa angking gandang taglay niya.

But Jade is more beautiful of course.

After we had our dinner, we went to sleep. The demigoddess slept on the long rock. Naawa kami. For years, she was sleeping in that rock?

We offered her a mat to sleep on but she refused. She said that it's more comfortable sleeping in that rock. We just nodded and headed to sleep.

A fire was placed on our front to protect us from cold. Aira was on the left side, followed by Rock, Sienna, Jade, me, Ice and Hack. The demigoddess was in front of us.

I was staring at the night sky while laying down. Napagandang tignan ang langit. The stars were shining bright and the light coming from the wings of the pixies made it more beautiful to stare at.

The sky was mesmerizing. Hindi pa ako gaano katagal sa Crestelia but I can call it home, it's really comfortable here. Kahit na naninibago ako sa mundong ito, I can feel the homey aura.

"Can't sleep?" I heard Jade's voice. I smiled. How I love hearing her voice. I just nodded.

"Natatakot ka ba?" Biglang tanong niya.
I faced her, only to see her staring at me.

"Saan?" I asked. Umiwas siya ng tingin at humarap rin sa langit.

"Sa mga mangyayari saatin. Our responsibility is very heavy, and that is protecting Crestelia from danger." She said.

Sa totoo lang, I never expected that I would be a prince. I thought that we are just normal Crestors.

"Ikaw? Natatakot ka ba?" I asked her back. She just smirked.

Damn! She looks sexy with that smirk.

"You do know it's inappropriate to answer a question with another question but, kind of. I didn't expect this to happen." She said. Napatingin ako sakanya ng matagal. I didn't know that a woman like her can be afraid.

"Me either." Nasambit ko lamang. There was silence for seconds until I heard her asked again.

"Next month is our birthday. The start of our mission to protect Crestelia. Are you ready?" She asked.

Saka lang pumasok sa isipan ko ang sinabi niya. I will turn eighteen next month. Am I ready?

"Yes." I confidently said. Knowing our situation, the demigoddess will help us.

"We should be. Months from now, baka magkakaroon ulit ng digmaan. Dadanak nanaman ang dugo sa Crestelia. Marami naman ang masasawi. Many tears will fall from the ground and mourning sounds and cries will fill the whole Crestelia. Mapupuno nanaman ng koleksiyon ang Aeria dungeon." Sambit niya.

That's possible. After our birthday, marami nang magtatangkang kalaban saamin lalo na't lalabas ang pangalawang kapangyarihan namin. They will do everything to capture us. Kahit pa ngayon, they want to get us para makuha ang lakas namin.

"When was the last war here in Crestelia?" Bigla ko nalang natanong sakanya. I want to know the history of Crestelia.

Natahimik si Jade. She was thinking, I guess.

"A century ago." She said. "It was the fight between the seven Kingdoms versus the Trivan Kingdom. Declared as the second war of Crestelia." She said.

"When was the first?" I asked.

"The war between the Gods and Goddesses and the two demons." She said.

Curiosity is starting to build up inside my body. "Tell me more." I said.

She looked at me. "Tell you what?" She asked.

"History." I said.

Saglit nanaman siyang tumahimik. "Do you know that the demons were friends with the Gods and Goddesses before?" She asked.

Kumunot ang noo ko. "What?"

"Yes, they're friends. The two demons were close to the Gods and Goddesses. Sila nalang kasi ang tanging kaibigan nito. The two demons were siblings. Tinaboy ng pamilya neto dahil nakipagkaibigan sa mga diyos at dahil narin sa angking lakas nito." She said.

"Then what happened?" I asked.

"The two demons suddenly envied the Gods and Goddesses. Sabi nila, Wypher loved God Willian and Draklo loved Goddess Arianne but they never returned their feelings. Nagalit ang dalawa, they saw how God Erthron and Goddess Arianne loved each other as well as how God Willian made Goddess Iceia feel the same way to him too." Anito.

"Wait, Wypher is a girl and Draklo is a boy?" I asked.

Tumango siya. "Yeah." She said.

So their were love problems between them.

"Then I don't know what happened to them." Pagtatapos nito. I was not satisfied by the history. I want to know more.

"They planned to kill them." Napabangon kami ni Jade nang marinig namin ang malamig na boses ng demigoddess.

"Po?" We asked. We saw the anger in her eyes.

"The demons' target was supposed to be my mom and dad, and God Willian and Goddess Iceia, they were hurt. Nagtanim sila ng galit sa kanila. They persuade Goddess Freya, God Thorn and Goddess Helga to help them execute the two couples pero nanaig ang kabutihan sa puso ng tatlong diyos." She said.

Tahimik lang kami ni Jade habang nakikinig sakanya. This is the explanation we've been waiting for.

"Because of that, they were mad. Akala nila may kakampi na sila, pero wala pala. Kaya umiba ang plano nila. They plan to kill all of the Gods and Goddess. Right there, they declared war between them and the Gods and Goddesses. They were confident that they will win but they failed. Sumumpa sila na babalik sila that's why they made the two books. In that way, kapag umilaw iyon ay malalaman agad ng Trivians ang hudyat na kailangan na bilang kumilos at hanapin ang itinakda. But it was stolen by the Gods and Goddesses and brought it to Crestelia para hindi na makuha ang mga itinakdang magpapalakas sa dalawa." Sabi niya.

"Pero ang sabi, the chosen ones was the one who will kill the demons. Ito pala ang magpapalakas sa kanila?" Lakas loob na tanong ko.

"That's true. That's why they gave you dual powers, strong enough to kill the demons." She said.

Saglit na katahimikan ang naghari sa kapaligiran. I felt satisfied of that explanation.

"You should sleep Prince and Princess. Maaga tayo bukas." Sabi niya.

"We will start tomorrow?" I asked. Tumango ito.

"Hindi pwedeng masayang ang pag punta niyo dito." She said and lay down the rock again.

Humiga narin kami ni Jade. I suddenly felt sleepy. I faced Jade who's eyes are already closed.

"Good night Jade." I said to her.

"Good night too." She said. Tumango lang ako at pinikit ang mga mata ko.

"I really like you." Sabi ko. I can't say that I love her, because that not what I feel. Hindi pa.

"I like you too." I heard her whispered but due to my sleepiness, I didn't hear what she said.
