"Wassup, FREAKS?"

Brenda Yuri pranced into the room.  Her exuberant greeting would've startled the others, except they were all used to it by now.  "What is it?" Gerharde asked, eyeing Brenda with amusement.

"I had a great idea! Since it's moderately hot outside, why don't we have a water balloon fight?" Brenda inquired.

Francine stood up, grinning devilishly.  "Oh yes, definitely!"

"Good, because you're on my team!" Brenda replied.  "It's me, Francine, Jocelyn, Michaela, Patricia, Jolene and Spence versus you and your team." This was directed at Gerharde.

"Hmm... well, since you forced me into this and organized us into teams, why not," Gerharde said nonchalantly.  She couldn't completely hide a smile however--she and Brenda were both rather competitive, especially against each other.  Gerharde looked at the people who Brenda had chosen for her: Dallan, Tayler, Petra, Rylie, Rae, and Andrea.  "We can make this work," she mused.

The girls headed outside, where there was a bucket of colorful balloons waiting.  "Here are the rules: we can all choose from this bucket, but once it runs out, whoever splashed who last wins," Brenda explained.  "So if I splashed Gerharde last, for example, me and my team would win." She shot Gerharde a cocky smile, and Gerharde smirked at the implied challenge.

"Alright, Killjoys," Gerharde addressed the others.  "Brenda may THINK she's got the advantage, but hey, we've got Andrea on our team, and she lifts weights." They all looked at the orange haired girl, who grinned.  "Let's Planetary Go! and beat the heck outta Brenda and the Sinners!"

Meanwhile, Brenda was addressing her team in a similar fashion.  "Everyone, listen up! I chose you all because I know you've got what it takes to take Gerharde and her team down! Well... some of you," she quietly muttered, watching Patricia weave a flower into her hair.  "Anyways," she said louder, "let's show the Killjoys what we're made of!"

"3, 2, 1, lets freak!" at Brenda's shout, the Sinners and Killjoys both raced towards the basket.  Francine snatched a balloon and immediately threw it at Dallan, who countered with her own balloon.  They collided in midair and exploded together, raining water onto the grass.  Dallan grabbed a second balloon and threw it at a now defenseless Francine, hitting her target perfectly.

Meanwhile, Jocelyn and Taylor were locked in an epic battle.  Each kept throwing balloons at each other, but never were able to hit their mark--they kept bouncing off.  Finally, Jocelyn tackled Taylor to the ground and squeezed the balloon, dousing her.  They sat there for a minute, Jocelyn kneeling on top of Taylor, staring at each other.  Until Petra hit Jocelyn with a balloon, continuing the fight.

(Go Joshler! Er, Joceler!)

Rae and Jolene were also battling--one could call it the Battle of the Fros.  "You're not getting anywhere near my glorious fro!" Rae cried, splashing Jolene with a balloon.

"You're not getting near mine either!" Jolene growled, returning fire.  Both let out a "HIYAAAAAH!" and charged forward.

"Guys, stop!" someone said.

Both Rae and Jolene turned and saw Patricia standing there.  She hadn't even gotten wet, presumably not joining the battle.  "Can you settle this some other way?" Patricia asked sweetly, putting both hands under her chin in an innocent expression.  Jolene and Rae looked at each other.

"Hmm... no thanks, Pat!" Jolene said, popping her balloon over Patricia's head and dashing away.  "Hey, we're on the same--oof!" Patricia replied as Rae hit her with a balloon as well and dashed after Jolene.  "Oh, now you're gonna get it!"

Soon, both teams were soaked.  Their supply of balloons was quickly diminishing, and Gerharde was determined to win.  She grabbed a balloon from the bucket--the last one, in fact.

"Well, it's all come down to this. You and me, one on one," a voice said.  Gerharde turned right as Brenda pelted a balloon at her.  She flinched back, and doing so, fell over.  Brenda stood over her, smirking.  "Looks like my prediction was correct--I threw the last balloon at you.  Any last words?" She hadn't noticed the balloon concealed in Gerharde's hand, however, and Gerharde pretended to think.  "Oh, yes.  Keep running." With that, she thrust the balloon forward.

Brenda barely had time to react before it splashed against her chest, dousing her shirt.  She looked startled for about 5 seconds, then rolled her eyes.  "Good comeback," she sighed, extending a hand.  Gerharde accepted the help, rising to her feet.  "Killjoys, make some noise! We won!" she cheered.  The others erupted into cheers, and even Brenda applauded.

(Slightly awkward ending but I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! I hope its not too confusing since I genderswapped them for fun :D)
