This isn't really an update, but happy birthday to our sweet little Ray of Sunshine! I feel like I should, you know, DO SOMETHING, write a story about it, but I don't have any ideas...

Just kidding! I'm SO gonna do a story about his birthday!
Ray sat alone in his room, strumming his guitar and singing songs from his album, Remember the Laughter. It was a drizzly gray afternoon, which added to his somewhat melancholy mood. Have my friends REALLY forgotten my birthday? Ray thought glumly. Unfortunately, this HAD happened before--the others had carried on like it was a normal day, until Ray had announced "Hey, you DO know it's my birthday, right?" Then, they'd seemed embarrassed, and had wished him well, but other than that, nothing much had happened.
There was a knock at his door, and Ray stopped singing and strumming. "Come in," he invited. He was pleasantly surprised when Mikey stepped in. "Hi Ray," he greeted. "Could you, ah... come here? I... WE... want to give you something."
Ray didn't want to have High Hopes--it probably wasn't about his birthday--but he was still intrigued. He followed Mikey into the kitchen, where he found Frank and Gerard waiting, standing around the island counter, on which sat a plate of cupcakes (I was gonna do a cake, but... you'll see). "CUPCAKES!" Ray grinned, picking one up and smashing it onto his hand. They had actually remembered!! "Also, here," Gerard added, handing Ray a small rectangular box. Ray opened his gift, and his smile increased. "Fro Gel: Keeps your precious curls curly! Thanks, you guys!"
"We also have Beefaroni," Frank grinned. "Do we have forks? We can't eat Beefaroni without forks!" Ray cried.
"Of course we have forks, you doof," Gerard chuckled. Ray sat down, filled with happiness. His friends had remembered his birthday, and done something for him. "Say, I wonder if any of our fans know it's my birthday?" he wondered. "Probably... especially those who get REALLY obsessed," Mikey said. "Heck, they probably even know OUR birthdays. They might even know the exact time we were born, although that's a little creepy." They shared a laugh at this.
As they dug into their Beefaroni, Ray thought about his album, the one he'd been singing songs from a few minutes ago. Remember the Laughter... yep, I definitely will.
Hope you enjoyed this! Writing it made me feel so happy and warm inside, like Ray's sunshine was flooding through me. Wow, that sounded cheesy... oh well, stay tuned for more updates!
