We set off at night fall, the moon flooded light into the forest lighting the path ahead of us. Rose and I remained in human form, we were über alert and ready for anything, we had no idea what to expect. We made it to the rogues camp. A small area filled with tents and alive with movement. We kept to the shadows as we made our way to the tent furthest at the back , it was the largest and screamed superiority and power.
I looked at rose from my crouching position and signaled for a distraction, she hesitated before making off towards the darkest part of the camp. I leaped into action and paced around towards the back of the tent, my eyes skittering about making sure i wasn't being watched - or followed.
A piercing shriek pierced the movement of the camp as a girl flung herself out of a tent that was quickly being engulfed in white hot fire. i cringed slightly at the smell of burning dog but nevertheless i took advantage of the circumstances as the camp shattered into action to put the fire out.
I extended my claws and shredded and opening in the tent. I slipped into complete darkness, my vision adjusting quickly but not quick enough. I only just glimpsed the black mangy fur of a rogue before i was pummeled to the ground by the rogue alpha
A few seconds of shock quaked my body as i tried to regain my breath. the cold dirt pressed hard against me and i lay useless, the wing knocked out of me. the mangy looking wolf stood over me for a few second, spilling vile drool onto my face. Then it stalked of back into the darkness where i lay quickly recovering from the blow.
A short assortment of cracking bones told me that the wolf was shifting back. my thoughts pounded in my head instinctively forcing me to leap from the ground and take up a defensive position. he darkness retreated as a candle flicked on revealing the rogue alpha who was standing of to my right, watching me studiously.
" ah my dear, i don't think we've been properly introduced yet. my names Max"
