I'm still a girl, and you are still a boy; nothing's changed. We grew into our bodies, but our minds lost their innocence and sense of wonder long ago. Cynicism, insecurity, trauma, anxiety, jealousy, greed, pain, hurt, envy, and anger sped right into the gaping hole before we could even object to its presence.
Now that we are adults let's shout more, laugh less, stress more, relax less, grab more and give less. Yet, if we could turn this clock around, we could shrug our shoulders, not care about what others think, speak our minds without analyzing the consequences of our actions, and forgive wholeheartedly and not hold onto petty grudges. A simple smile, unabashed love and the conviction that we can make miracles happen. Let's tap into that and gather what we lost because we are still just a girl and a boy.
