This will leave no space for doubt, misunderstandings and mind games. We will not unjustly raise our expectations nor harbour any illusions since we hesitate to show our vulnerability and don't reveal our love for others until after they have passed on, which is when we lament their loss. What good could that possibly do when most of what we think and feel dies silently with us? We choose to spare most people from what could hurt their feelings because they will probably not forgive us for saying it, and they might even avoid us like the plague, but they will respect us. They will go into things with their eyes open, make informed choices- and perhaps even avoid further disappointments. We've tried lying; now, let's try telling the truth for a change.
