THE DAY OF PROM
I was in my room looking at my phone ever since the day we went to the warehouse we been getting spotting's of some people and let me tell you that's good if you ask me I had received a text saying that they found another warehouse and it had a lot of people coming in I texted back telling them to be ready by midnight since prom is tonight it would be better because I could leave after they announce prom king and queen, I got up and went to the bathroom and striped out my clothes I looked at myself in the mirror and went to shower. I was coming out of the shower when I heard something fall I looked back and saw it was a picture of me and queen I smiled at the picture it was a picture of when we where kids I think we where six or seven I sat down and looked at it this brought back memories -FLASH BACK- ''Kentrel come on son we need to get ready'' my dad said exhausted ''NO'' I said still running around ''I got him'' I heard my mom say she came around the corner and saw me on the floor watching tv ''kentrel we have to get ready'' she said coming to me ''because they are old friends and plus you can have a friend'' she told me sitting next to me ''a friend'' I said all cheerful she shook her head yes I got up quickly and went in my room to put clothes on, 15 minutes later I was in the living room waiting and I heard the door bell ring I got off the couch and went to the front door my mom came and opened it I saw a real pretty women and a dark skin man then there was a little girl I smiled and ran to her ''Hi I'm kentrel'' I told her she jumped a little before looking at the women and smiling ''I'm queen'' she said in a soft tone ''that's a cool name HEY do you wanna see my toys'' I asked her she shook her head yes and we went to play. ''kentrel my mom said you can come over today'' Queen said ''ok I'll ask my dad if I can come over then oh are you going to finish that'' I asked pointing to her sandwich she shook her head no and I took it and started to eat it ''I wonder how middle would be'' she said staring off into space I shrugged and said I don't maybe harder she looked at me and smiled at me ''well at least I would have you there'' she said smiling I smiled back and kept eating. ''Middle school here we come'' I said grabbing queen hand and running to class ''wait the bell hasn't rang yet there's no rush'' she said I laughed at her ''I know that Q but I wanna see the class is all'' I told her ''this is going to be fun I hear this school basketball team is fun I'm going to be captain of course'' I said pointing at myself she laughed ''well I'll be trying out for the dance team I've seen them perform and there good'' she told me ''then what are we waiting for let's go and see this'' I told her and we started to running and laughing. Everybody was in the hospital waiting to hear about queen mom I looked up and saw that queen had no emotion but you could tell she was tired I got up and went to her side she looked at me with teary eyes and smiled at me her dad had got up and went to the doctor this would be the day the everything was different. ''Bro Angela shut the fuck up man you getting mad annoying'' I said getting annoyed I saw queen coming our way and my heart skipped a beat when I saw here we where freshmen now ''WELL MY MOTHA FUCKING BAD THAT YOU CAN'T LEARN ONE THING, LIKE I HELP AND YOU DON'T EVEN WANT TO PUT IN EFFORT'' she yelled I shooed her away and hugged queen swinging her around and putting her down ''y'all are literally arguing and it's morning'' she said laughing ''your friend can't shut up about how I failed that test yesterday like it's one test'' I told her queen looked at me ''didn't she help you'' she asked with raised eyebrow ''yeah'' was all I said before looking down at my phone ''I feel bad for you queen you have a dumbass for a bestfriend'' Angela said I shot her a bird and grabbed queen hand a left -FLASH BACK END- I smiled and got up putting the picture down and putting on some sweats and a white t-shirt ''hey old man'' I said to my dad he turned around and shot a bird at me I laughed and sat next to him ''so you wanna help me get ready for my prom'' I asked him ''you a big boy you can handle it'' he told me without taking his eyes off his phone I got nosey and saw he was texting the same women he been seeing ''so when can I see this mystery women'' I asked nudging his side ''first of all keep your nosey ass out my phone and second you'll see her just waiting on the right time is all'' he told me I shook my head ok and got up to leave ''I should be back before six so don't wait up dear'' I told him ''shut up and get out my house with all your foolishness'' he told me I left and decide to see the twins and Durian I walked down a couple of blocks and saw that Durian was outside on the phone smiling I slowly smiled at who he was talking to I ran up to him and decided to do somethin extra ''HEY DURIAN WHAT YOU DOING BUDDY HAVEN'T HEARD FROM YOU IN A WHILE'' I yelled out he looked at me with a 'I'll punch you dead in your shit' type of expression on his face I came up to him and snatched his phone out his hand ''hey Ang no time to talk got to take your little boyfriend away form you for a bit see ya bye now'' I said hanging it up and threw his phone back to him and if looks could kill I'll be dead ''why the fuck'' he said ''where on a time schedule today remember prom is tonight'' I told him ''of course I know it's tonight you idiot'' he said I rolled my eyes and got up ''well come on what you going to be wearing nigga'' I asked walking in the house. ''why the fuck'' was all I could say ''shut up cause this is all I'm wearing'' he said this man had on a dress shirt which his sleeves where rolled up and some dress pants I mean it was alright but come on nigga this is our prom ''and how bout you since you want to get on me'' I smiled and sat up ''ya nigga going in dark blue and so is queen that's the theme my guy catch up'' I said cheesing he rolled his eyes and started to take his clothes off ''aye D I need a favor'' I asked him getting serious he looked at me. I rushed in my house almost falling over something when I passed my dad and his friend ''HEY CAN'T TAKL GOTTA GET READY'' I yelled running in my room but I stopped dead in my tracks when I realized I saw a female also I turned around a slowly walked back in the living room ''well hello and who might this be'' I asked him he rolled his eyes ''this is Kira my girlfriend'' he said looking at her and smiling I smiled also ''well Kira it's nice to meet you I'm his son Kentrel'' I said shaking her hand my looked shocked for a minute ''well Jesus must be here because I've never seen you like this'' he said trying to be funny I rolled m eyes ''well if you excuse me I have a dance to get ready for'' I said leaving them to it I turned to my dad and started to make out with the air he threw a pillow at me but I ran in my room before it hit me I'm glad my dad has someone in his life he deserves this.
