(Matthew 6:33-34 KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

(Psalms 63:1 KJV) (A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.) O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

(Isaiah 41:17 KJV) When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

COMMENTARY

Seek God first. Our first priority should be to have a relationship with God and to daily seek His face that we may know Him. When we know God we do not worry about the materialistic things of this life, our heart will be on things of heaven and sharing the gospel with others so that they too can come to accept Jesus. How can we know God if we are not seeking Him? The Lord seek us out but in turn we have to make the effort to know Him, because God will not force us to accept Him.
