Rolling over, I hit something hard. From the small crack in my eyes, I could see it was a body. Why would somebody be in my bed? Shuffling came from the body as it moved closer to me. Something around my waist gripped me harder and closer. Opening my eyes more I come to find it's an arm, looking up, I see his dark hair sprawled across his pillow.

Reaching behind me, I carefully pick up his arm and put it on the bed. Using my arm to shove me up, I creep off the mattress to my weapons. More shuffling comes from Daryl as I tighten my belt.

"Where are you going, Sunshine?" His voice makes me freeze. You know how every guy has that sexy morning voice, well damn, he has that. Extremely hoarse probably from the lack of water and use of it overnight.

"We have to get things ready." I step towards him. He was now laying on his back arms behind his head.

"From what I saw last night, your belongings are already out." He sticks his hand to me.

"Yes, but I have to help Carl with his things." I sigh.

"You do love that kid, huh?" He pondered. I sit on the bed, taking his hand and rest my head on his shoulder.

"More than my life. Which is why I need to see him before I leave him today." I grunt, getting to my heels.

"I'll see you later?" Daryl asks.

"Yes." I leave cheerfully, but that only lasts a second before I find Carl has already packed up and is stomping down the stairs. Jogging up to him, I greet him, silence.

"Hello?" I punch his shoulder.

"Leave me alone, Jade." He marches faster to the car as I freeze. He'd never use my first name. I walk to Rick, working on the blue car, and Glenn comes soon after.

"I've never seen him this mad. Even when Lori, he's shut down." Glenn trails off.

"He used my real name this morning. That tells you where I stand." The three of us glance toward him. He's sitting on the ground next to the green car.

"He's still a kid. It's easy to forget. Not even you can fix it." Rick looks at me while I mess with my fingers. Daryl came out a few moments after me and went to work on his bike while talking to Carol. Everyone gathers in front of the cars to go over the plan.

"Everyone knows how this goes. We aren't leaving for good. Just take enough to make it look like it. We've brought walkers in through the tombs the last few days that should scare them when they're in there looking for us. We have the advantage here." Rick informs us.

"Where is everyone going?" Carol asks.

"Maggie, you go on the catwalk, stay inside, or out of sight until they are inside. Glenn, you're out where Hershel and Beth were when the walker attack happened." They both nod and start putting gear on.

"Daryl, Carol, and Michonne, you guys are with me in the tombs. We'll have the flashbangs and walkers to scare them out." He sighs, looking at me. "Hershel, take Beth, Judith, Carl, and Jade out in the woods. Make sure you can see us from far away." I glare at him.

"Alright, let's move these cars to the back of the prison." Glenn yell in his gear. Everyone starts leaving, but I stay put, eyes locked with Ricks.

"You can't sideline me, Rick!" I yell, catching Daryls attention.

"I can, and I will." He says, completely calm. Daryl comes to Rick's side.

"It's only for a little bit," Daryl speaks up.

"You knew about this? Is that why you were trying to suck up this morning?" A tugging feeling goes to my heart.

"I wanted to tell you, but he wouldn't change his mind." Daryl tries to reach for my shoulder.
