chapter 43 | Pretty lies

40 minutes later...

I walk back to the changing room now that sport is over but take my top off, feeling too hot even with the cold weather of this day. I groan but comb my hair back to not let my wet bangs full of sweat blind my view or stick to my skin. "Dude!" someone exclaims behind me as we're all going back to the building. "Kook, your back! What the hell have you done?!" he looks at me with shock as if something was not okay with my back but I frown. "What?"

"Your skin is covered in marks!" he touches it but reminds me of the reason of those things. "Did you have rough sex?" he laughs but forces me to put my cloth back on. "Yeah..." I let out a bit vaguely, not knowing what to say to this. "Really? I didn't expect you to say yes," he stops guffawing like a kid but doesn't go away. "Was it y/n though?"

"That's none of your business," I don't talk about it with him since he's not Mino but ignore his face. "Well...if it wasn't her that means you cheated since she's your girlfriend."

"Bro," I sigh but look into his eyes. "The sex life I have with my girlfriend doesn't regard you so leave me alone."

He smirks but glances away, finally.

4 pm.

"Jungkook!" a girl yells my name as I'm walking up to the gate with my baby but I turn around and check who it is. "Hey...I'm sorry...but..." Hyunae holds the red pen that I gave her some days ago and puts it forth. "You-" I gasp at the sight of it.

"I'm sorry..." she bites her lips but blushes. "Do you know how much this pen cost you brat?!" I point my finger at it but she doesn't say anything. "I paid thirty dollars just to get my name written on it!"

"I didn't know..." she looks glum but keeps the broken pen between in her small fingers. "Go away before I make you eat it," I look daggers at her but she just steps away. "I'm joking dummy," I stop acting mad and relieve her, making her turn around to look at me with her red face. "I paid it one dollar," I tell the truth.

"Tch..." she gives me a rude look as she just realized I fooled her this whole time but I giggle and take y/n's hand to walk away. "This girl..." I shake my head and get my phone out of my pocket.

"You seem close to her..." my baby speaks in a gentle voice as we're heading to Mino's car. I answer the text I received from a friend and peek at her. "Honestly we just speak to each other when we're in a group and when it's about that red pen," I smile but lock my phone and lay all my attention over her. "Hm..." she expresses some jealousy without even realizing but I stroke the back of her hand with my thumb. "I don't care about her baby."

"I know," she replies. "I was just curious," she looks up into my eyes to show me she believes my words. I smile at her but she does it in a shy manner and looks away. "Come on guys, I need to pee!" Mino yells at us now that we're close to him so I chuckle at his face but enter his car, I get on the back seats with y/n and he hurried to join us. He starts the vehicle in no time and we all put our seatbelts on.

"Kook," Mino starts what we planned. "I forgot to ask you earlier but could you go to the supermarket with me? I'll drop you off, y/n, but I just need his big muscles."

"Yeah, I'll come," I nod but feel a bit shameful for doing this. "I can't come with you...?" she doesn't understand right away why I'm not taking her with us but I shake my head and put my hand on her thigh. "No baby, I want you to stay in the warmth. It's too cold today."

"But you're going to be cold-"

"Shh," I cut her off with a smile and press my lips on hers. "Listen to me. Don't contradict daddy," I whisper against her lips but she acquiesces.
