Cascading Waters

Chapter XI

Bago pa maka react ay hinigit na ako ni Ethan papunta sa rooftop door kaya naman ay pareho kaming nasa bench malapit sa school garden ngayon at naka tulala.

"Hey, are you okay?" kalabit ni Ethan sa akin.

Nilingon ko naman siya at nakitang namumula ang mga pisngi nito, baka nahihiya rin dahil sa nakita namin.

I gave him an assuring smile and nodded. He asked me again if I was really okay kaya tinawanan ko na at tumango. We changed the topic and talked about something else until he went home.

I received a text from Lexa bago pa naka labas sa gate para sana mag commute nalang pauwi.

Lexa:

Waveyy, wait for me a bit! I brought my car and I don't wanna go to the cafe alone.

Natandaan kong may bibilhin raw muna siya sa cafe malapit sa mall kaya yun nga ang ginawa namin. The cafe was relaxing because of its pastel colored walls and things. Lexa went to the counter.

"Good day, Miss Tara!"

Nginitian lang ni Lexa ito at nag order na. She knows I love strawberries so she took care of the order. Natanto ko agad na madalas si Lexa dito hindi lang dahil sa sinabi ng cashier kundi ay pati na rin ang pag kaway at pagbati ng mga servers sa kaniya.

While waiting for Lexa to finish, bigla kong naalala ang nakita kanina sa rooftop. I immediately felt the hollow space inside my stomach widen. I know Axel's a playboy but it never really bothered me that much until today. Witnessing it personally made me realize that he really has his own world of lustful games.

Seeing Lexa turn around and start walking towards me reminded me of what she said about Axel liking me. Bakit niya kaya nasabi 'yon? I mean... Axel wouldn't kiss another girl if it was true, right?

When she reached our table, she placed our orders on the table and we ate our cheesecakes.

"So, how's it been so far?" tanong niya.

"I'm all good. Just... bothered," nagdadalawang-isip na sagot ko.

"Bothered? Why?"

"Well, nagpunta kami ni Ethan sa rooftop kanina and then--" naputol ang sasabihin ko sa biglaang tili ni Lexa.

"Oh my God! Did something happen? tell me, waveyy!" excited na tugon nito.

Napakunot ang noo ko. Hindi maintindihan kung bakit excited na excited siya.

"Well... yes. I saw your kuya and another girl." diretsong sagot ko.

"Ah, okay." biglang tumabang ang timpla sa mukha ni Lexa at nagkibit balikat na kumagat sa cheesecake niya. "What about it?"

"They were... making out."

"They were.. what?!" gulantang na reaksiyon ni Lexa sabay baba ng kutsara niya.

Kumunot nanaman ang noo ko sa reaksyon niya. Why is she shocked? Isn't this normal for Axel eh kilalang playboy naman iyon?

Mukhang nakabawi naman siya agad at tinuon ang pansin sa akin.

"That asshole. Tsk. Does he know that you saw them?"

"Yes, he stared back while doing it." kibit balikat ko, still feeling the familiar hollow space inside.

"That stupid guy." buntong hininga ni Lexa. bumulong bulong naman ito ngunit hindi ko masyadong narinig. "Making her jealous in such shitty way. Stupid."
