It's been a week since we got here. Hindi na ulit nasundan ang dinner sa mga Fabiano because papa's been busy with the papers for my business. Mama, on the other hand, continued furnishing the house. I have prepared my menu since last year kaya hindi na ito masyadong malaking problema.
It was still a lot of work kaya sa tingin ko ay aabot pa ito ng dalawa o tatlong buwan bago matapos. I was excited and at the very same time, nervous. I've been in the business field ngunit iba pa rin talaga kapag pera mo na ang ginamit. Papa bought the land for his own asset na sa akin rin papunta so I did not bother buying my own.
I had years to plan for this so I'm really nervous that it might not work and I'd end up feeling so down. Papa comforted me about it and said that it's how businesses work so he wouldn't get mad if I ever fail this. That comforted me a bit so I went on and really took the risk.
In a white patterned, silky, long sleeve top, denim jeans, and ankle strap heels, I hurried downstairs para maka sabay sakanila ni mama papunta sa plaza. Tyler had to meet up with a friend somewhere in a town hours away from Bahiran for their business kaya maaga itong umalis at hindi ako masasamahan.
Good thing there are two cars now dahil dumating na ang isang pina-ship ni papa kaya he let Ty use the new one.
"Waverly! Slow down! Hindi naman kami nagmamadali. Aatakihin ako sayo, naka heels ka pa naman!" reklamo ni mama nang nakasakay na ako sa back seat.
Tinawanan ko lang siya at pinaandar na ni papa ang sasakyan. They were talking about who they're meeting in a town next to Bahiran. Hindi naman masyadong malayo iyon but it's still an hour travel from here. Hindi nalang ako nakisali dahil busy ako sa pag me-make up.
I just did my brows, a little bit of powder and tints around the lips and cheek then I was done. Make up isn't really my forte but I try my best to make myself look presentable. Well, change is the only thing that's constant.
"Are you sure you'll be fine here alone? I can call Grace to have someone help you out?" mama asked.
"No, it's fine. I'll meet the engineer and check the establishment a bit before going to the near grocery to shop for ingredients. I'm fine, ma. You guys take care, okay?"
"Grocery? You'll walk? Baka two hours pa bago kami makarating dito."
"Yes, i'll walk. Malapit lang naman 'tsaka i'll just look around the mall and buy stuff for my room to kill time while waiting for you."
"Okay, princess. Call if you need anything, okay?"
I nodded and waved them good bye. I watched them go and felt happy. My past might be dark but I sure as hell am one lucky person to have such loving parents.
The place papa bought here in the plaza is the one we first landed here in Bahiran. It's not entirely a big space but it's enough to make a good building for my two-storey bake shop.
Plano ko kasing lagyan ng roof top sa itaas in case maraming gustong tumambay at puno ang tables sa first floor. I also think some prefer the fresh air in Bahiran kumpara sa air-conditioned. It's not just any roof top though kasi plano kong lagyan ng glass canopies para nagagamit pa rin kahit umulan at makakapag star gazing pa rin kung hindi.
