Chapter 31: Loser

Umawang ang labi ko nang lagpasan ako ni Mayor. Hindi siya pumasok sa Fortuner. Sa halip ay diniretso ang likod ko kung saan kami nanggaling kanina.

I was like being back to the old Draia. Para akong binalik sa dating sarili na kaunting sagi lang sa ego, apak sa pride ng walang ibang nakakagawa kundi si Calvin ay parang sasabog ako sa kung anong nararamdaman.

He's the only one who could make me feel like this. He's like the only one who could pull something inside me that I never did thought I would do such things and I'm capable to act, again, impulsively around him.

"Fellizar!" I followed his heavy and large footsteps with mine.

If he did not kiss me back, I wouldn't run after him right now. If I just didn't see something in his eyes, hindi 'ko na sana ipagtutulakan ang sarili ko.

Though, I never forget and I am still aware that I did a one terrible move in the past. Na nagawa ko siyang ipagtulakan dahil sa mga nangyayari noon at sa gulo ng aking isip.

But, all I think about that time was for him- to not be around with me just because I felt like I was just putting him, even my own family in uncertain things and situation.

Mabilis, matulin, at dire-diretso si Calvin na naglakakad papaliko sa kaliwang bahagi ng resort.

Mas lalo kong binilisan ang hakbang nang natanaw ko ang kabuuan ng likod niya dahil sa mga mas maliwanag na lamp post dito kumpara sa parking kanina.

"Calvin!" tawag kong malakas ngunit sa marahan na paraan kahit na hindi man lang niya ako nililingon.

I know I couldn't simply ask here to turn how we were back then. I know I couldn't just turn things the way it is but, if we we're not gonna be the same of what we were then... atleast I should talk to him to finally have some thing called closure, right?

Calvin might don't need it anymore but one thing's for sure. It is still for the both sake of us. It is for our own peace of mind to continue without a grudge feeling to each other. It is for him, the same goes for me.

After all, for me, the closures in our life is one of the important things that pushes us to move on. It'll keep us to continue with a light feeling of emotion. It will keep us going without even knowing.

Napakagat ako ng labi nang tumambad sakin ang isang open area na tanggapan. Calvin did a quick and firm talk to the receptionist before he disappeared in that same hallway where the left wing and the villas of this resort located.

Agad akong tumingkayad at dumikit sa counter para makapag tanong sa babaeng kinausap niya.

"Miss, anong room number niya?" turo ko sa kaliwang hallway kahit na hindi na rin naman doon tanaw si Calvin.

Nagulat ang babae pero agad din namang nakabawi. She frowned at me.

"Uh, I'm sorry but that is a private matter we are prohibited to distribute, ma'am," ani sakin ng babaeng receptionist.

Napakurap ako doon. Ngumiwi naman siya sa biglaan kong sulpot at tanong. I cleared my throat to loosen up a bit.

"Uhm... I'm sorry ofcourse I understand," bawi ko sabay awkward na tawa. "But can I atleast know if there's an available room near at his villa?"

Mas lalong hindi na maipinta ang ekspresyon ng babae. She looked at me with her judgemental stare. She probably thinks and find me creepy as I asked about this thing.

"I'll just check if there's still available since we are now fully booked, ma'am..." mahinahon niya namang tungo sakin. 'Di nga lang nawawala ang ngiwi.
