"Getting ready?" Yao asked leisurely on the other line.

I looked at my self reflection on the mirror. I did my own make-up so I could situate this smoking eyes. It added a recondite outlook based on what I desire for tonight's event.

"Drai?" si Yao nang natagalan ako sa pagsagot.

I sighed as I try to soften my expression even though, there's no trace of emotion on it by now.

"Yes, Yao," I answered casually.

"Hmm. I'm done so I'll just wait for you, instead?"

"I thought your driver is the one who will pick me up, here?"

"Yes, yes. He's on the way right there. I'm sorry I couldn't do it myself."

"Ayos lang, Yao. Kailangan talagang mauna ka doon gaya ng sabi mo..."

"Yeah. I'll see you in a bit, then?"

"See you."

"Can't wait," he chuckled softly.

Tipid akong napangiti.

"Thank you for the flower, anyway," I shifted the subject as I touched the petals from the sunflower bouquet na pinadala ni Yao dito sa bahay kani-kanina lang.

"It's nothing. You deserve more of it."

Napatawa ako ng kaunti sa kaibigan. "Do I look like I have a zombie enemy?"

"If that is a joke, then I don't get it, Drai."

"You're just so slow to cope up, Fariñas."

"Mabagal nga talaga siguro ako," napakunot ang noo ko ng saglit doon. "But, I'm serious. Papadalhan kita araw-araw ng ganyan."

Is he serious?! Napailing ako.

"Hindi ka ba mamumulubi niyan?" I joked just to lessen the quite hard atmosphere between our line.

"Is that really hard to be serious with me, Draia? Tsaka, nagta-trabaho naman ako, kaya bakit ako mamumulubi?"

Napairap ako doon ngunit napa-angat rin ang labi. At first, I caught my self amused, hindi nga lang nag tagal. By one fucking word, I abruptly remember of fucking someone. I just can't believe thinking that word 'arrogant', there's already one person who could literally invade my mind!

I'm wearing a deep v-neck criss cross black tulle dress. It also has a high slit on the left and it's scintillating by glamouring glitter sequins on the top. I paired it with this silver buckle high heels with a strap.

I couldn't tie up my hair now since I had a hair cut earlier with Addie. My hair was back from it's color- dyed gray to it's short length. For my bijoutirie, I just wore a plain silver earrings as well as this simple choker necklace.

"Hindi parin nagpaparamdam?" Addie asked me for once again.

Hindi ako umimik habang nagpapagupit ng buhok.

In normal days, she would give me this kind of joke na naka balot sa kumot as she mimicked the sound of ghost.

I understand that in some way, she's just trying to cheer me up for the past few weeks kaya pinapabayaan ko na lang.

"But he's no young anymore to do that cheap and immature demeanor! He's too old for that kind of ghosting! Para lang 'yan sa mga taong walang paninindigan and without consistency in their life."
