"YOU'RE MY FAVORITE PERSON I'VE MET AT MCKINLEY SO FAR!"
FINN HAD FINALLY CONVINCED KATY TO TALK TO SAM about not showing to the auditions, realizing food was the way to her heart and offering her candy.
"Hey, " she smiled gently, reaching Sam's locker.
Sam took a deep breath nervously, as if he'd been expecting her to confront him angrily, "look I'm really sorry Katy, I wanted to show, I really did, I loved singing with you guys the other week but I saw what happened to Finn and I'm new, I didn't want to be more of an outcast that I already am," he explained taking her hand in his to add dramatic effect in hope that she'd forgive him.
Katy smiled at his nervousness, assuring him that she wasn't at all mad, "I get it Sam it's hard being the new kid and glee club wouldn't help that, you don't need to explain to me,"
"yeah I do, you have been so nice to me since I got here and I won't even join your club as a thank you, you deserve better," Sam said guiltily.
"you don't need to thank me, I think you're great,"
Sam blushed at the compliment, looking at his shoes, making her blush in return, "anyway you're quarterback now! that's amazing, congrats," Katy continued the conversation, causing Sam to stand up straighter, proud of himself.
"yeah, sad I had to get it this way though," he said, thinking of Finn.
"don't feel bad, no hard feelings, Finn's just one of those people who believes popularity matters, he doesn't want to be just another glee loser, but hey, I'm a glee loser but I'm here in my cheerios uniform!" Katy said, motioning to her uniform, which hugged her body nicely.
"you're not a loser, at least I don't think so," Sam smiled, looking straight into her eyes.
"thanks," she blushed, "walk me to class?"
"it would be my pleasure!" he replied, closing his locker as they walked off to history class, talking all the way there.
