"I still can't tell if he passes the vibe check."
Katy bounced over to Sam's locker, a McDonald's bag in her hands, and a huge smile on her face.
He beamed as he saw her and gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek, "what's this?" He asked gesturing to the bag she was holding out to him.
"Read it." She smiled. Katy had spend the last ten minutes sat in the back of Puck's truck, doodling on a McDonald's bag, she was pretty proud of it, her calligraphy was on point.
"Is your face McDonalds because I'm lovin' it?" Sam giggled,
"It was the cheesiest I could think of." Katy shrugged, "so what do you say?"
Sam's eyes darted to the four letters written boldly underneath and sighed,
"You know how much I'd love to go with you but I really can't afford to take you to prom." He sighed, looking upset and slightly guilty.
"You don't have to take me to prom, we'll go to prom. I'll take you, it'll be my date." She suggested, trying to get him to agree, "I'll pay for us to eat at breadstix before and either you can borrow one of your dad's suits or you can borrow one of Puck's, we won't make it a big spectacle of it, we'll just go together and enjoy each other's company. But if you really don't think you can, I understand, we'll stay home and watch a movie or something."
She looked up at him hopefully, fiddling with the cuff of her jumper,
"You always have the answer don't you? I'd love to go to prom with you." Sam beamed, pulling her in for a hug.
"Yeah?!" She grinned,
"Id love to!" he smiled, happily,
"I'm glad, I would've had to eat this McDonalds all by myself!" Katy laughed, reaching into the bag and popping a nugget into her mouth.
"And that would've been a tragedy." Sam chuckled, reaching into the bag and pulling out a handful of fries.
"This was a great idea of mine." She lovingly sighed at the chicken nuggets she was eating as the two decided to sit in the choir room together and eat their McDonalds before everyone else arrived.
"It really was. I love McDonald's." Sam agreed,
"Honestly, it could slap me in the face and I would thank it." She gushed,
"Definitely, this was the perfect promposal, I'm a very lucky guy." He smiled, taking her hand in his.
"See? I'd rather sit in the choir room with you and McDonalds than any fancy date or meal or expensive stuff, this is my idea of heaven." Katy sighed, leaning her head on his shoulder, as they finished up the fries before the glee club had a chance to come in and have any.☆
