"Daydreaming"

Man: Sergeant?

Jay sat at his desk completely in a daze. His head had been up in the clouds all morning & found it hard to concentrate at work. His co-workers were all trying hard to get his attention, but to no avail.

Man 2: Yeah, man he's been like this all morning.

Jay was day dreaming about Summer & couldn't get his mind off of her. He had been day dreaming about  the time he spent with her earlier that morning while he was getting ready for work. He may have been physically at work, but he was mentally at the beach house with Summer. He was enjoying his blissful fantasy & reminiscing when she joined him in the shower. The hot steam surrounded them & they were lathering each other's bodies with loofahs. Jay was running his hands all over Summer's wet, naked body...

Devon: Hey! Jay!

Jay shook his head & blinked a few times as he realized he had been daydreaming all along.

Devon: Hey man, you gotta get it together.

Jay sighed & gathered papers on his desk.

Jay: I know. I know.
Devon: One more day & we're off for a whole week. Here.

Devon handed Jay a cup of hot, fresh coffee.

Jay: Thanks, man.

Jay sipped the coffee & rubbed his eyes. Devon walked over to the office door & closed it shut. He back walked over to Jay's desk.

Devon: So, did you ask her yet?
Jay: No, not yet.
Devon: What are you waiting for man?
Jay: I'm just nervous that's all.
Devon: So are you poppin' the question soon!
Jay: At the luau tonight.
Devon: Tonight?
Jay: I have it all planned out.
Devon: Ok. Tonight!
Jay: You haven't told Krystal about any of this have you?
Devon: Bro... I know how to keep a secret.
Jay: Ok... Cause Summer can't find out. This needs to be a perfect surprise.

Jay managed to get through the rest of his work day as Devon swung by his side every so often to help him snap out of his daydreams.

Summer had been trying to stay busy all day. She was putting together her outfit for the luau when she got a text from Nat telling her to meet them at a local nail spa. She needed the manicure, girl time & honestly the distraction. She had been missing Jay all day & wanted to stay busy. She had met up with Krystal & Nat at a nearby nail spa to get ready for the luau that night. She walked into the spa & was greeted with an attendant.

Attendant: Aloha, Miss. Welcome to the Ohana Spa. How can we help you today?
Summer: Aloha, I'm meeting a couple of friends here. Their names are Krystal & Nathan.
Attendant: Oh yes, you must be Summer?
Summer: That's me.
Attendant: Great! Your friends just arrived a couple minutes ago. Come on in they're in the facial room. Right this way.

The attendant led Summer to the back where Krystal & Nat were getting steam facials. Summer joined in & sat back in her chair as the esthetician began working on her face.

Devon actually spilled the beans to Krystal about Jay proposing because he couldn't keep it in. Krystal told Nat while they were waiting for their spa appointment just moments before Summer arrived. They were sworn to secrecy, but there's no telling what secrets are kept when alcohol is involved.

After the steam facials, the girls got full body massages & it kept Nat & Krystal quiet for another hour or so. One by one, they met up in the lounge while waiting for the manicurist to come in. They were each wearing robes & were comfortably seated in the lounge. They were offered champagne or water.

Nat: I'll have the champagne.
Krystal: Me too.
Summer: Same here. Thank you!

They clanked their glasses & sat back to relax. Nat looked at Krystal & motioned for her to keep her mouth shut. His eyes widened to let Krystal know that he was serious. Summer noticed that Nat & Krystal were a little too quiet. They were usually very chatty.

Summer: Are you two ok?
Krystal: What do you mean?
Summer: Nothing. You guys are never quiet like this.

Summer took a sip from her glass & crossed her legs.

Nat: No, we're fine. I'm fine. You're fine. Right, Krystal?
Krystal: Oh yeah, totally.
Summer: Ok, now I know something's up. You never call her Krystal.

Krystal & Nat looked at each other guiltily as if they were just caught in error.

Summer: Someone better start talking...
