"The Rehearsal Pt.3"

Jay came back in & drew everyone's attention. Summer quickly met him at the door while holding a smile for everyone to see.

Summer: Where were you?
Jay: I needed some air & I needed to clean off all the spit up.
Summer: Sorry, about that. I should've gotten you a burp cloth or something.
Jay: Hey, can we talk?
Summer: Now? Babe, I'm in the middle of my Grandma's rehearsal dinner. I can't leave. I'm coordinating & I'm one of her bridesmaids.
Jay: Ok, well. Do I have to stay?
Summer: What do you mean? Jay, you should stay. My family is your family.
Jay: I know. I just...
Summer: Just go.
Jay: Are you upset? Don't be upset.
Summer: We'll talk about this later. Here, take the car. I'll get a ride.
Jay: With Dennis?
Summer: Jay, please...
Jay: I'll see you later.

Jay & Summer kissed quickly & then Summer returned to her seat at the Bridesmaids table. Michie took a few more shots of the rehearsal dinner & then started packing up some of her equipment. Dylan & Brian were still eating their dinner. Michie signaled for them to hurry up. Dennis started handing out the vendor's payments by giving the head vendors envelopes. He walked over to Dylan.

Dennis: Hey man, thanks for all the work you guys have put in today. Can't wait to see all the pics & videos your team took. I believe this check goes to you guys.
Dylan: Yeah, it's for Michie. She ran to the car real quick, but I can take it.
Dennis: Thanks.

Dennis turned around & started to walk away. Dylan quickly tapped his shoulder.

Dylan: Hey, it was Dennis, right?
Dennis: That's me.
Dylan: So uh... How long have you been in love with Summer?
Dennis: Excuse me?
Dylan: Summer & I use to date...
Dennis: Oh. You're an ex.
Dylan: But we're totally friends now.
Dennis: Got it. I just met her this week. She's definitely special.
Dylan: Yeah...
Dennis: Hey, what's the deal with Jay?

Dylan & Dennis talked quite a bit about Jay. Dylan shared all the juicy facts he knew about Jay & how he didn't like him one bit for Summer. Dennis gained insight on who Jay was.

Dennis: Hey, thanks, Dylan.
Dylan: I'm rootin' for you, man.

Dennis smiled.

After dinner, Nora & Jack both stood from their table to thank each & everyone of their guests.

Jack: Thanks, everyone for your support & love for Nora & I. You know... I never thought I'd get married again, but then God brought Nora into my life. And for that I'm thankful. Not only do I gain a lovely bride, but I'm gaining a beautiful family.

Nora wiped her eyes from a few tears & took the mic from Jack & was about to say a word of thanks until
Aunt Sharon stood up & walked over to her & swiped the mic from her hands. Nora's tears soon turned into laughter. Aunt Barbara & Summer joined Aunt Sharon into a little skit. It was a parody of the Titanic. Ever since Nora told her sisters about Jack, the Titanic jokes kept rolling in. After the skit entitled, "I'll Never Let Go" ended, they finished with their own rendition of "My Heart Will Go On". It drove the crowd to tears from laughter. Dennis loved seeing Summer up there enjoying herself, but he could tell she had a lot on her mind. There was something behind that smile. He knew how that felt all too well.

The vendors began to leave. The crazy aunts helped Serena & Miranda into the car. The groomsmen all wished Jack a good evening. Tom hugged & kissed Nora & his dad goodnight.

Tom: I'll see you two love birds, tomorrow!
Nora: Goodnight, Tom.
Tom: Goodnight, Nora.

Tom walked towards Summer & Dennis.
Tom: Hey, do you guys need anything before I leave?
Dennis: A ride, please?
