Nat & Summer were at Target scanning things for Nat & George's wedding registry.
Nat: Feels like Christmas... Or my birthday. Did you guys enjoy setting up your wedding registry? What am I missing?
Summer: We didn't set up a wedding registry.
Nat: What? But you guys got engaged like 2 months ago.
Summer: We've been busy I guess.
Nat: Hmm... What do you think white china? Too much?
Summer: These are pretty.
Nat: I thought so too. It goes well with my hair. Ooh! I didn't tell you about the house Georgie & I fell in love with...
Summer's thoughts drowned out Nat's voice. She wasn't jealous of Nat. She was definitely happy for him. She just wondered why she wasn't as excited for her own wedding as Nat was for his.
Nat: Hello?
Summer: I'm sorry. You said something about a house?
Nat: Babe, that was like 5 minutes ago. We've moved on to silverware. So I wanted to get a bigger set for like when we have you all over for Friday night dinner.
Summer: Go for it...
Nat: They have gold? Should I get this set instead?
Summer: Go for the gold, babe!
Nat scanned the gold set & continued walking down the aisle. Summer's phone kept ringing of notifications, but she seemed to ignore it. Nat started to get annoyed with all the ringing.
Nat: Aren't you gonna get that?
Summer: Get what?
Nat: Babe, your phone's been ringing.
Summer: Really?
Nat: Yeah, you've been getting messages since we were looking at the throws & blankets a few aisles backs
Summer took her phone out & turned it on silent. She noticed that she received quite a few messages. Some from Grandma, some from Serena updating her about Miranda. Then Summer scrolled down & saw messages from Dennis.
Nat: Please stop me if I get trigger happy. George told me not to go crazy with the registry. I can't help myself. You know I don't have self-control when it comes to shopping.
Summer put her hand to her side & stopped walking to lean over one of the shelves. Since lunch a few hours ago, Summer had been feeling dull pains in her back & now she was getting cramps. The cramp pains were slowly getting stronger & it was getting harder to walk. Nat turned around to see that Summer had stopped walking & was hunched over the shelves at the other end of the aisle. He briskly walked over to her.
Nat: Hey, are you ok?
Summer: I don't feel so good.
Nat: Was it the tacos we had? Cause I'm kinda feeling it myself.
Summer: Maybe? Um, I think I'm gonna head out.
Nat: Yeah, let's go.
Summer: No, you can stay & finish your registry.
Nat: I'm going with you. I can finish this online.
Summer: You sure?
Nat: I'm positive. Come on, sweetie. Let's get you home.
Nat drove Summer home & stayed with her for an hour until Jay got home. Summer convinced Nat that she's be fine. Nat reluctantly agreed to go home. He firmly told Jay to take care of her.
Summer was complaining of cramps & back pain to Jay. He ran a warm bath for Summer & prepared her favorite tea. Summer was surprised to see how engaged Jay was & how he was doing his best to take care of her. Summer was laying in the bath & closed her eyes & leaned back trying to relax. The warm water eased some of her pain, but she was still uncomfortable.
Jay: Let me know if you need anything. I'll just be right over here.
He bent down to kiss Summer before walking out of the bathroom & into the bedroom. Jay noticed Summer's phone sitting on her nightstand charging. He picked it up & started scrolling through her messages & recent calls. He needed to make sure she cut off all ties with Dennis like he had asked her. He noticed Dennis's messages & saw that Summer hadn't replied. Jay sent Dennis a text saying that she didn't want to hear from him again. And then he proceeded to delete Dennis's contact info & text logs from Summer's phone. Now that he & Summer were working on their relationship & preparing for marriage, he thought he was doing her a favor.
Summer walked out of the bathroom in her robe & saw that Jay was fumbling with her phone.
Summer: Jay? What are you doing with my phone?
Jay: Look, Summer. I'm not gonna sugar coat this. I deleted Dennis's contact info & that long thread of texts taking up data on your phone.
Summer: Why did you...
Jay: Why didn't you delete it in the first place?
Summer: Jay, he's my friend.
Jay: No, he's not. He clearly had feelings for you.
Babe, we have to focus on us. We have a wedding to plan.
Summer was still in pain & didn't know what to say to all that Jay was telling her. She just sat there as he told her of the meetings he had set up with a wedding planner.
Jay: So what do you say?
Summer: I'm sorry. Can you repeat that?
Jay: September 25th for our wedding date? What do you think?
