"The Rehearsal Pt.2"

Jack stayed cool, calm & collected while apologizing to the vendors & the minister about the tardiness of his bride. He would say things like "I'm sure she's on her way." Or "The traffic around this time of day is terrible." As coordinators, Summer & Dennis were ready for action. Summer noticed that Dennis was still a bit stand-offish as he had been the whole day, but only when Jay was around. "What did Dennis have against Jay?", she thought.

Dennis: Are you ready?
Summer: Let's do this!

Dennis spoke up & introduced himself to the group of people & then began instructing & directing them to stand in the places for the rehearsal to begin. The minister was in his place under the beautifully decorated arch. The guitarist was in the corner tuning his guitar for the umpteenth time. The groomsmen stood in line next to Jack. Some of the family members who were in town were seated in the first 2 rows. Summer was by the entrance on her phone trying to reach her aunts, her sister & her grandma. Dennis looked her way & Summer shrugged. Jay came up to Summer & offered to drive by the house to see if they were ok. Summer thanked him, but said "no" in worry because it would've taken Jay too much time in the Seattle traffic.

A few sighs & second later, a group of women & a baby came bustling through the doors. Jack's eyes widened, the minister sighed & everyone cheered.

Aunt Barbara: We're here! We're here!
Summer: What happened? Where were you guys?
Serena: So sorry, Sum. It was totally my fault. Miranda had a diaper explosion & I left he diaper bag, so we had to stop by the store for extra baby supplies. I'm so sorry...
Summer: It's ok. You guys made it safely. Here, go fall in line. I'll hold Miranda.
Serena: Really?
Summer: Yeah, come on. She needs some Auntie time.
Serena: Thanks, Summer.

Brian watched as Serena walked from the door to the wedding party line. She slightly waved at him. He blushed & smiled & waved back. Dylan slapped his chest.

Dylan: Hey! Do your job, man.

Brian laughed.

Nora ran into Jack's arms to embrace him. Summer watched & smiled at the sight. She loved seeing how much her Grandma truly loved Jack & how Jack loved her. Jay sat at the back of the room with his arms crossed as he watched Dennis & Summer working closely together. There was something about Dennis that annoyed him, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

All the groomsmen were paired up with their respective bridesmaid except for Tom & Serena.

Tom: Hey, Serena. Everything ok?
Serena: Well, it is now. Aunt Summer to the rescue as usual. This teen single-mom life is not what it's cracked up to be.
Tom: It's ok to have hard days & it's also ok to ask for help. And looking around here, you have a ton of it.

Serena looked around the room at her family & friends.

Tom: And... myself included. Don't ever hesitate to ask me for help.
Serena: Thanks, Tom.
Tom: I'm not just your doctor, I'm your brother.

Tom embraced Serena & Brian's eyes were drawn towards their direction.

Brian: Wait! Who's that?
Dylan: I think that's Jack's son.
Brian: He's putting the moves on Serena.
Dylan: Calm down & take some pictures.

Brian peeked away from behind the camera once in a while to keep an eye on Tom & Serena.

Tom: Hey, since Summer & Dennis are coordinating, you want to just switch partners & I'll walk with you & Summer can walk with Dennis?
Serena: That's not a bad idea. Hey, don't you think they'd make a cute couple?
Tom: I like the way you think.
