Y/n was just an ordinary teenage girl, with loving parents and no worries but her life took a turn and she lost everything she treasured. Ateez, one of the strongest gangs in Seoul, influential and feared.
What will happen when Y/n reunites with Ate...
"Let's go home now, shall we?" His teasing tone rang in my head, feeling sick just by listening to his voice but all I could do was nod. He steered my body to the direction of the door and to the car, his arm not leaving my shoulders at all. I was sitting between Chan and Hyunjin, the two who gives me the most 'lessons'.
The ride back to their house was silent as I kept my head low. "What's wrong, love? Why do you look so down? Don't you miss us and your previous home?" Chan's annoying voice tore through the awkward silence, eyes looking down at me while I kept my eyes and mouth shut.
After what felt like years, we finally arrived. Well, well. Never thought I would be back in this hell hole. The house that had swallowed my screams of pain, fear and help; the house that kept me away from my life. "Go on, you know where you belong in this house." Chan ordered, sounding like an owner talking to his dog. I trudged towards my favourite place in this house; the basement. The oh-so-familiar basement which surprisingly looked better than it once was. Probably because Ae Ri had stayed down here too but had it better than I did. I sighed as I sat on the small mattress that was in the corner, hugging my knees to my chest. I miss the boys and Ae Ri so much...especially you Woo.
Hongjoong's POV
Ae Ri has been calling her parents non-stop the past few hours but to no avail. "Ae Ri, I think you should take a break. Your phone is gonna burn if you don't." I tried to calm her down but she wouldn't listen, continuously pacing around my room. "Ri, stop. Sit down." I sighed once more, tired of seeing her like that.
"I can't. What if they do something to unnie? What if they lock her up again? What if-" "Hold on! We aren't even sure where they brought her to. You need to calm down and we can think about it properly." I had finally managed to stop her pacing as I caught hold of her wrist, pulling her down into my arms.
Only then, she finally broke down into tears. "Joong oppa, I'm worried about unnie." She sobbed as she wrapped her arms tightly around me. "I know, Ri. I am too, we all are." Trying to soothe her, my hands found its way to her hair and back, rubbing them in a circular motion. Y/n, you better be okay. Everyone's worried sick about you and it has barely been a day since you're gone.
The next day
Wooyoung's POV
8:33am
My swollen eyes stung as I forced them open, immediately shutting them close as the morning sun hit me. I turned my tired body to face the empty side of the bed, the thought of Y/n not being next to me hit me strong like a crashing wave. Baby girl, please come back. I groaned as I sat up, tears pricking at my eyes once again.
A knock was heard on the door before Yunho's head popped in, him too with sunken eyes. "Mornz, Woo. Hongjoong hyung wants us gathered later on after breakfast." Leaving the room in silence once again as he closed the door while I sat on the bed unmoving, falling back into my thoughts.
Soon, everyone was gathered in the living room. All with tired and solemn expressions, as if they've haven't been sleeping much too. "We're still unable to get ahold of the warehouse's address, but we'll keep trying. Also, we should put some thought into this. We can't just barge into there without a plan and expect to get out of there safely and with Y/n, we don't even know where she is." Hongjoong hyung said carefully, trying to read my expression. "What do you suggest then?" Seonghwa hyung spoke for me instead, knowing I wasn't in the best state after having rejected breakfast.
"That's what I gathered everyone for...will they keep her in the warehouse or at their house?" Hongjoong hyung answered, almost as helpless as everyone else. "Isn't it fishy that they didn't give us the address to the warehouse? Did they plan to kidnap any of us there and make it hard for us to locate them?" San said, thinking hard. "Yeah, and it's further away from here." Mingi agreed with San as they nodded, trying to make sense out of whatever clues we had.
Hours had passed just like that, everyone was cooped up in Hongjoong hyung's room trying to come up with a plan but we couldn't move forward, not knowing where Y/n is was too much of an obstacle. "AHHHH!" Mingi let out a stressed scream, scaring everyone in the packed room.
"Mingi what the hell?!" Yunho screamed back, his hand clutching his chest. The others were all shooting glares at the poor boy who was now looking down and playing with his fingers, mumbling a small apology as we went back to brain storming.
"Ae Ri, still no news from your parents?" San asked cautiously, but received a shake of her head with a guilty expression on her face. "Ugh..." I let out a shaky breath, annoyed by the fact there was no progress at all. "I'm sorry Woo-" She tried apologizing to me once again but I had cut her off. "No, stop saying sorry. I'm tired of listening to your apologies, it's not helping at all." I said as I left the room for a breather.
It was already dark as I gazed at the star-filled sky. Time passed so quickly for us and we couldn't do anything about our current situation. I wonder how Y/n is doing...is she okay? Safe? Eating? Endless questions filled my mind as I grew even more worried about Y/n.
"Wooyoungie hyung? A penny for your thoughts?" It was Jongho who had walked into the balcony, already standing next to me. "Oh, hey Jongho. I'm just thinking..." "About Y/n noona?" I nodded at his words, turning back to face the sky.
"We all are worried about her too, but I know you probably worry about her twice more or even triple. I know why you're acting this way but you have to get it together if you really want her back and I'm sure she doesn't want you to be like this." Jongho said as he too looked up into the sky. Our maknae's wise words were right, I have to get it together for Y/n.
"You're right, I promised you I'll always be by her side didn't I? I'm not giving you the chance to beat me up." I nudged his side jokingly as small smiles showed on our faces before we went silent, enjoying each other's presence and support. "Hey, bros. Let's go eat. San ordered Chinese food." Mingi said as he came to get us, slinging his arms around the both of us and dragging us downstairs.
Poor woo and Y/n...but tension is in the air
