Shockingly I couldn't sleep last night, I woke up much too early and spent probably two hours cleaning and reorganizing things for Tenley's arrival. I made sure all of the things we got for her were in the shower and where she could find them. I cleaned up the guest room and even the studio. Vacuumed and swept and washed everything in sight. By the time I got to the airport I was beyond exhausted, so I stopped for a coffee - making sure to get one for Tenley and I seated myself by the windows hoping I would see her on her way down the stairs.
The airport was quiet, not many people had stopped for a picture or a chat, but on my twitter feed I could see that Tenley was active, liking a photo of herself in the airport posted by the 5SOSUPDATES account

I like the post, checking the stairs for her, it's almost seven, she should be clearing customs soon.I watch as the baggage terminal closest to lights up, her flight number on display as bags start circling. I take this as my que to stand, watching the stairs from the terminal. I mentally thank her for taking a photo with a fan as I see her skipping down the stairs - her energy high from just getting off a 17 hour flight. I wave the bouquet in my hand as she hits the ground, letting her suitcase land on it's wheels.
"Tenley," I don't bother yelling her name as she practically sprints to me. SHe lets go of her suitcase maybe six feet away from me as she launches into my arms. Her hug is tight, as she breathes heavily in my ear.
"You were supposed to stay home!"
"I was too excited to see you," I shrug as she pulls away, smiling still as she raises an eyebrow at my full hands. "I got you a coffee, good thing it was iced."
"And flowers, again?"

"Yeah, well...I like getting you flowers. You deserve flowers every day," she shakes her head, but takes them both kissing me softly in the cheek. "I saw you took a photo with a fan?"
"Oh yes, She was standing with me at customs and she asked and I couldn't say no. SHe was the sweetest girl ever, she's never seen you guys in concert before so she's really excited for your new tour...Are you mad?"
