"Are you done filming that stupid thing yet?" I shake my head, and she rolls her eyes dramatically.
The most boring day was filmed, from the moment we woke up to the moment she sat down on the couch with Crystal on the phone - not one thing mildly interesting to the fan base happened. We both feel annoyed, our privacy that we've gotten used to over nearly three months felt invaded, though it was us doing it. There were moments, like when we were doing a little bit of the english she had found for me, or cooking that she seemed to enjoy talking to herself with the camera in front of her. But almost immediately after she seemed drained, and from the sounds of it Crystal wasn't even a big fan of it.
"No, it's not that I hate being on camera it's just...I don't know. I mean, what parts of our relationship can we really show to out fans before they start getting invasive?" There's a pause and I frown. "No, I do love them. I mean I am one of them. It's just...I don't like censoring myself.
TENLEY
Lucky enough for me Crys felt just as annoyed doing the day-in-our-life thing. It's not that I don't love Calum, or that I don't want to be seen with him, it's just that we are boring. And i know some people would be totally against that idea, of this amazing, crazy lovely ball of energy being with someone who does like to sit and just hang out. Or spend time together, I know the minute that I'll be allowed to leave the country again we're going to struggle.
"DO you think he feels the same?"
"I don't know. I mean, he's always taking pictures and videos when we're together but...i think it hasn't quite hit him how many people will see it?"
"Think they're used to it?"
"Oh my god for sure! But, i'm not."
"I got you. It is kind of hard at first, even for the rest of us. For you, it would be a billion times harder."
"I mean I guess. I just wish I didn't feel this way."
"Well you can't change the way you feel, now can you?" I shake my head, turning to see Calum leaning across the kitchen island with a frown on his face.
"What is that look for?" I pull the phone from my mouth and he shrugs.
"I wanna make cupcakes."
"I'm sure you can make cupcakes..." he shrugs, leaning down farther.
"Wanna do it with me?" I laugh, but nod.
"Hey Crys, I gotta go."
"What's up?"
"Big tough rockstar wants to make cupcakes."
"Awe, what a big baby," she laughs and I smile. "Alright, we'll let me know if you need a place to live after the house burns down."
"Will do, talk to you later."
"Talk to you later hun."
I step into the kitchen to see Calum settled on top the the counter staring into a brand new cookbook. I shake my head at him and he frowns at me.
"Why?'
"Why what?"
"Why do you wanna make cupcakes?"
"I don't know. I feel like our days are so boring now with COVID and work and I thought this might be fun?"
"Do you know how to cook?"
"Well, kind of. But you know how to."
"Cal-"
"Please?"
"I'm not your mother I'm not gonna say no. Also, it's your-"
"Our house."
"No, it's still yours. But, I will make cupcakes with you."
"Good. Cause i found these," he hold the cookbook out to me, point at a picture of chocolate cupcakes, piled high with frosting. "They're chocolate peanut butter!"
"Oh deer god."
"You said-"
"You really are a toddler aren't you?" He nods, jumping off the counter and kissing me on the head. "Lets get going then."
He stares at the book, eyes narrowed as if trying to make them appear out of nowhere. Suddenly he turns pulling ingredients out of nowhere, piling them high on the bar counter before he stops in front of me, a delicate smile on his face.
"Thank you."
"For?" I raise an eyebrow, looking up into his dark eyes. He shrugs setting his hand on my elbow softly as if I'll break.
"Everything."
"Cal..."
"Cupcakes!" He claps. Dumping ingredients into a bowl, blabbering about something. I notice the camera set on the counter but i try to ignore it, getting lost in my own mind.
He is such a loving guy, with a huge heart. And I know how he hides his relationships, keeping the private and safe under the roof of his own house. But he seems so much different, so much more loving and so openly. In his own ways of course. But none the less-
"T, come here," I walk over to him and he smiles. Pointing at the giant KitchenAide mixer on his counter. "I don't know how to use this."
"Seriously," I close the machine, locking the bowl in place and turn the knob. "There, it's on now."
"Okay, so maybe I wanted to get you out of your head. What were you thinking about?"
"Nothing, just day dreaming."
