CHAPTER 29: TUTORS AND CHEERLEADERS
‘Marc!’ I called out. I watched as he turning around and came to a stop. ‘Hey I need to ask you something?’ I panted, coming to a halt beside him.
‘Sure, go ahead?’
‘You don't, by any chance still tutor do you?’
I watched as his eyes flitted up and down my body and I thanked my lucky stars I’d made an effort on my appearance.
‘What do you mean?’ his voice was calm, curious.
‘I need a tutor,’ I explained, ‘and I’d rather have you than someone I don't know.’
He smirked, ‘as a matter of fact I do. What do you need tutoring in?’
‘Um literally everything.’ My cheeks flushed lightly, ‘trig, English, government mainly. So does this mean you’ll help me?’
He paused, assessing the situation, ‘yeah I suppose so, but how come? I thought you were really smart?’
This time I blushed more deeply, ‘I was... I just kinda haven’t been working much. Turns out not doing your homework is detrimental for your GPA.’
‘Well I could have told you that babe.’
I laughed, ‘so when do we start?’
‘Keen, I like It.’ he winked and I almost collapsed. ‘Well I’ve got football practise now, haven’t you got cheer?’
‘Yeah I do.’ I breathed, still reeling from his wink.
‘Well after that then. Unless... you've got some place to be?’ it was like he was daring me to contradict him.
‘Nope.’ I popped the P. ‘see you then, then.’
‘You better sugar.’ He said and with a final wink turned and abruptly walked towards the gym leaving me half giddy half panicked on the sidewalk.
