Howdy lovers :) Hope y'all are well! (okay imma gonna stop talking in a southern accent now!) i have an idea which i would like some opinions on:

So I'm considering writing a prequel to SFR which would be all about Marc and Stacie's relationship before Bex moved to Miriam. I've been playing around with cover ideas and have attached the one i'm liking atm.

So can you please let me know if that might be something you'd be interesting in reading? (i probably wouldn't start writing it for a couple of months though,) Or would you just rather i stick to SFR?

CHAPTER 35: WE'RE ALL ACTING HERE

I awoke the next morning on Stacie's bedroom floor with an odd giddy feeling inside me. It took less than five seconds to recall last night's events which just caused my grin to at first widen and then falter.

Yes, Marc and I had kissed. Yes, I'd almost passed out it had been so good, but no, I was not looking forward to the awkward post-kiss meeting later. I mean, don't get me wrong I wouldn't say no if he confessed his undying love for me but that was unlikely to actually happen. This was not a Rainbow Rowell novel. This was my life, and it was about as bumpy and uphill as anyone's.

Rolling over I flicked my phone on to see the time. Eight thirty in the morning! Why the hell was I awake this early? I knew for a fact I hadn't slept until the early hours of the morning so why did I feel so goddamn awake.

Just then my phone buzzed in my hand.

It was Marc, clearly someone else who couldn't sleep.

Hey, you still up for coming over later? M xx

Hmm. Good grammar and two kissed. He was playing it safe.

Sure! I'll have to go home first to drop my bags off though. See you at like 11?

Dropping my bags off wasn't the only reason I needed to go home. I only had a pair of Victoria's Secret sweats and a loose gray sweater with me - hardly the clothes of dreams.

That's fine babe xx C U then ;)

Urgh don't wink at me over text, I thought moodily as I swung my legs from the makeshift bed. Glancing around the room it was clear everyone else was still asleep so I grabbed my clothes and makeup and slipped, unnoticed into the bathroom.

Inside, I locked the door and pulled my hair into a messy bun. Thankfully I'd had the good sense to take my makeup off last night, though that didn't change the fact I desperately needed a wash. Hoping no one would suddenly awaken, I started the shower and helped myself to some luxury shower gel.

After washing I applied my makeup as naturally as I could. Subconsciously, I think I was going for a look I hoped Mark would enjoy and since Stacie always looked so naturally flawless... well you get the picture.

Unfortunately my outfit was far more lacklustre, but at least everyone still seemed deep in slumber outside. Heading back to the main room, my suspicions were confirmed, so I crept over the Stacie's bed, where she lay amid the covers.

'Stace.' I whispered, gently shaking her awake.

'Ahhh! What the hell Bex.' She mumbled, 'oh my god, my head! what time is it?'

'It's early, but I've got to go now.'

'What?'

'I'm going round Marc's house.' I bit my lip hoping she didn't feel betrayed.

'Oh,' she paused and then smiled, but it seemed a bit forced. 'sure, have fun babe.' She mumbled into the pillow.

'Thanks.' I told her before slipping out of the room and down the stairs.
