*Four Years Later*I swing the bag over my shoulder and grab the car seat containing mine and Alex's second child, Jessie Rae Gaskarth. She's the cutest thing ever, with chubby cheeks.
The sad thing is that Alex hasn't seen her yet, she's six months old, he hasn't been able to get off his world tour. It's been breaking his heart. He doesn't know that I'm coming to today's show.
"Going to see Daddy?" I smile at Thomas and close the car door after him.
"Dad! Uncle Jack! Smiley! Uncle Zack!" Smiley is Rian because according to Tom, he doesn't stop smiling. Has he seen the guy mad?
"Come on then, baby. If they fuss over Jessie, it's because they haven't seen her yet. Okay?"
"I know, Mommy. I love you." He smiles. I smile back and lead them through the back door of the stadium. Thomas is holding my right hand and is glancing over at Jessie every now and then, he's protective over her and it's really cute.
Tom knocks on the dressing room door and Rian opens it. "Shh." Tom whispers. Smiley nods and lets us in. They're all sat on the couches, relaxing before the show. It goes silent as everyone but Alex spots us. He realises is and turns his head.
"Em! Tom!" He exclaims and jumps up. Tom runs to him and Alex scoops his up into his arms. "My baby girl." He says sadly and puts Tom down who runs over to Jack. "My baby girl." He starts to cry.
"Shh, Lexy, it's okay. She's here."
"I'm sorry for putting you through this, I'm sorry I wasn't there."
"I've done it once before, I can do it again." I wipe the tears from his eyes and kiss him. "It's been tough, but Tom has been the big man."
"That's my boy." Tom smiles at us. "Jessie Rae Gaskarth." Alex smiles and gets her out of the car seat, clutching her tightly. "She's like you, oh my god." He starts to cry again, kissing Jessie's head repeatedly. I take the opportunity to take a picture. It's beautiful.
"She's a good girl, sleeps through the night, so it's been okay." Alex goes off into his own little world, holding onto Jess as if she's the most delicate thing in the world, she is very small.
"Where's my hug?" Jack calls. I roll my eyes, but take off into a run towards my brother. I wrap my arms around his neck.
"I missed you Jacky." I smile.
"You've done well there, Jessie is adorable. I promise when she's older I'll be there, I'll play dress up with her, play with dolls, have a tea party, take her to concerts, be there when she has her first heart break. Need I go on?"
"No, I don't doubt that. You made me the same promise with Tom. You said you'd be there for him, play football, baseball, teach him to play guitar, take him to concerts too." I laugh and hug the other guys, but Tom is pretending to bully Zack.
I post the picture to Instagram:
'Daddy is finally getting to see his little girl in person, it's such a beautiful moment, the family is back together. Alex is proud of Tom for helping me look after Jessie, I'm blessed.'
I smile at the sight in front of me, Jack and Alex are fussing over little Jessie, who is giggling her little heart out, and Tom is chasing around after Rian or 'Smiley' and Zack.| Alex |
She's beautiful, my little Jessie Rae. I feel so guilty for not being able to see her in her first six months, but this makes up for it.
She looks so much like Ember, the beautiful green eyes and a head of thin brown hair. She's the smiliest child I've ever seen, Tom was okay-ish, but he'd be a bit grumpy, but Jessie is just adorable. "You're gonna be breaking hearts, like your momma." I whisper to Jessie, who giggles again. Jack laughs behind me and taps Jessie on the nose again, he receives another giggle. Em smiles at me from across the room, she's changed so much since I met her when she was 22, she's 26 now, it's go a insanely fast. I can definitely see Jessie is going to turn out like Em. I've seen pictures of her as a kid, it's like looking like a twin.
Tom looks like me, he's gonna get the ladies. Em has always said it.
I pass Jess over to Jack and I hug my wife from behind. "I think we did good."
"Me too, Mr Gaskarth. A lively son and an adorable little girl." Em grins.
"Tour finishes soon, we can be a proper family again."
"Alex, we are a proper family, just with a few bumps in the road." She shrugs. "Now go see Tom, he's missed you loads." She pushes me towards our son, who is getting a piggy back off Zack.
"Hey Mr." I say sternly, Tom jumps off Zack's back, onto the couch and dives towards me. I pick him up and hug him. "I missed you, son."
"I missed you too daddy, don't leave for this long again, Jessie always cries in the night. It's annoying!" Tom sighs. I laugh at him. He's cheeky. "You used to as well, she'll get over it." I tell him. He nods. "Look, I'll be home in a week, we can go to the park and everything!"
"Promise?"
"I promise!" I smile at my son.
I've missed six months of him growing up that I won't get back, he's changed a lot since then.
I've missed six months of my little girls life, she hasn't seen me in her short life time, she didn't know who I was. It tears me apart. Jessie just somehow knew who I was, I'm gonna protect her. I'm not gonna be away for this long again.*Two Years After*
I kept my promise, Jessie is now two and I've always been there.
Tom is now six and I've always been there. My life is perfect, my wife never seems to age, her beauty is permanent, even if she dyes her hair a little too much.
Watching Tom and Jessie unwrap their christmas gifts is precious, Em is sat on the floor with them, pretending to be be shocked at what 'Santa' bought them. Jack is smiling from his chair, he has a fiancé who is away with her family for personal reasons, it's a shame.
I sit on the floor next to Em and wrap my arms around her. "I bought you a gift." I tell her.
"I told you not to! It's about the kids, Lexy."
"I wanted you to have something, you work so hard to keep them happy that you deserve a treat." I hand her the gift bag, which she reluctantly takes.
"Tiffanys?! Alexander William Gaskarth, you shouldn't have!" She jumps up as soon as she sees the necklace.
"I noticed you looking at it, so I got it."
"I love you so much!" She hands me the necklace so I can clasp it for her. It's a key, with a heart at the top, but the heart is a green stone. {AN// On Side}
Tom smiles and both of the kids crawl into our lap. "Thank you." Tom says.
"Luv yuuu!" Jessie giggles, it's honestly how she talks, it's adorable. Em kisses me and buries her head into the crook of my neck.| Jessie |
*When She's 18*My mom doesn't seem to age, nor does my dad really. Since the band broke up, well not really broke up because they're still best friends, he's had more time for all of us. My family is perfect. Tom is off, pursuing the same career as dad, and it's going great really.
"Morning Jessie." Mom smiles. I hug her.
"I told you she'd end up beautiful, Ember." Dad says from the doorway. "She looks a lot like you did."
"Ooh! She's a heartbreaker!" Uncle Jack teases from behind dad. "You go girl!"
"Shut up." I say to him.
"Sassy too!" Jack starts marching around. I have no idea what his problem is, I'm more grown up than him.
We manage to kick Jack out of the house and to his own, back to his wife and young child.
"Mom, how'd you keep something so long with dad?"
"Your dad?" Mom asks, sipping her coffee. "Well, I don't know honey, you'll know when you see it. In all honesty, I hated your fathers guts when I first met him, he was an arrogant ass hole and then I started to get feelings towards him. It seems to me like your father doesn't age, he's still as handsome as the day I met him."
"That's funny, I asked dad the same thing. He said he had the key to your heart." I point to her necklace. "And that you're still beautiful, even more than the day he met you, and that he falls in love with you over and over again."
"Honey, you'll find something like this. In all honesty, your father does have the key to my heart, he's the only one that made it skip a beat. I find it does still now, he has this ability to open my eyes and make me feel, honey, you'll understand. Age is just a number and I'm forever in love with him." She removes her wedding ring and shows the me writing engraved on the inside of it. "Permanently yours."
I hope to have something as special as my mom and dad, they both described it as falling in love all over again. I saw pictures of mom on her wedding day, she looked beautiful, as a girl I thought she looked like a princess. It just looked so romantic, it's how I imagined Romeo and Juliet when I was in school.
I can see it, them falling for each other over and over again. They kept their promise, they made their vows and nothing has ever came between them since.
I'd love to have someone to call my own like they do. It's precious.
To be loved and to want to be loved is just human nature, I see it every day with my parents. It's sweet and the way Dad looks at Mom, it's indescribable. His eyes light up when she walks in the room.
Everyone wants what they have. Real love.
"Permanently yours."

Guys, it's really over! I'm crying and shaking, it's hard to let go! I hope this was a good enough christmas gift from me! Thank you so much for sticking with me and all of my flaws. I love you all and it's amazing to have come this far, although it's nothing compared to others. I can't say thank you enough.
I'm always here to talk to, I'll always be on wattpad, I've took on the challenge of writing two stories at the same time. Yikes!
Happy holidays! Merry christmas! Whatever your religion, I hope you have a really good year too, it's a fresh start for all of us. And I'd love to start talking to some of you.
I hope I didn't crush you too much
