Chapter 7

Shane entered the room and I froze.

He turned around and he froze.

"Sorry, I didn't know anyone was in here" he said turning to leave.

"No it's fine, you can stay" I heard someone say and I realized that it was me.

Wow, the world must be ending real soon.

He smiled at me and walked further into the room and took a seat at the piano.

"You play well" I said.

I'm on a roll.

He smiled and glanced at me.

"Thanks"

I placed my attention back to my guitar and took a deep breath.

"I really like your voice" I heard him whisper and I blushed turning my head away from him my hair falling into my face.

His voice was so sexy.

When I glanced back at him I saw him staring at me and I blushed even further.

What the hell is wrong with me? He only complimented my voice.

I cleared my throat and smiled at him.

I then proceeded to practice my song, ignoring his presence.

He just sat there watching me. Listening to me as I got lost in the music.

I walked out of the music room with Shane right beside me.

"Well...um...see you tomorrow" I said giving him a small smile.

"Yeah, tomorrow " he said to me and walked away pushing his hands into his pockets.

I looked around the parking lot and saw Julia leaning against her car.

She was smirking at me and signalling to Shane.

I rolled my eyes.

"Let's go" I said when I reached up to her.

She got into the drivers seat and I went around the car to get into the passengers side.

I buckled my seatbelt as Julia started the car.

"So what were you and Mr hotty doing together?" She asked pulling out of the school.

"I was in the music room and he came, so I told him to stay" I said shrugging.

The car screeched to a stop.

"You what? Wow... Like wow" she said disbelief written across her face.

I feigned hurt,"I'm not that mean Juli" I said putting my hand at my heart.

So overdramatic.

She started to drive again.

Good thing I didn't tell her about the compliments...she'd just die.

"I didn't say you were mean" she said pulling up to my house.

I rolled my eyes at her again and got out of the car.

I walked up to the house and Julia followed closely behind.

"I'm home!" I called and heard nothing.

I motioned to Julia to follow me to the kitchen where we were going to grab snacks for our movie marathon.

When I entered I saw Drew sitting at the island drinking a glass of orange juice while texting on his phone.

"Hey Drew" I said and walked pass him to get to the cupboards.

"Mmmm" he mumbled too engrossed in his phone.

I rolled my eyes.

I grabbed a couple snacks and turned around to find Drew staring at Julia while she fiddled with her fingers.

"Nana, you didn't tell me you have company" he said checking Julia out and she squeaked and turned red.

He smirked.

Drew was more on the tall side, taken from Dad.

He was almost 6ft and as much as I hated to admit it, he was kind of good looking.

Kind of.

I knew that Julia had a crush on my brother but I just couldn't see why.

Well he was only one year younger.

Age is just a number, right?

"Well now you know that I do" I said and walked out of the kitchen and grabbed Julia's arm dragging her with me.

We went up to my room and began our movie night.

Julia took out Bad boys 1 from her bag and put it in the DVD.

One thought crossed my mind while I watched.

I absolutely adored Will Smith.
