Chapter 25

I checked myself in the mirror and looked over my outfit.

I was wearing a jeans pants and a white top that had pink flowers on it.

It was only a movie so I didn't need to dress up.

I walked down the stairs and leaned my ears on the room door in which Julia and Drew were having their date.

I could hear Drew's voice and Julia's nervous laugh.

I smiled.

They were so cute.

I went outside just as Dylan pulled up.

He got out of his black BMW and I gnawed at his car.

"Wow" I said going forward to touch it.

It's not like I never saw a BMW before but this was just shine and beautiful.

I looked at Drew and saw that he was dressed in jeans and a dark blue T-shirt.

"You look beautiful" he said getting closer to me.

"You look nice too" I smiled at him.

He smiled back and opened the car door for me.

"Thanks" I said getting in and he closed the door going around the car.

"I'm so excited for our date" he said pulling out of my driveway.

"Me too" I said trying to sound as excited as him.

Truth was...I couldn't wait for it to be over.

"That was the best zombie movie ever" Dylan said as we walked out of the movie theatre with other people exiting as well.

I hummed in agreement because it really was good.

I was about this girl who died at a young age and then was brought back by black magic to do the dirty deeds of a witch. I would've been scared if I didn't love those types of movies.

"So where to now?" I asked Dylan as we got buckled into his car.

"Dinner" he simply said before driving off.

We drove for about five minutes before we arrived at a fancy restaurant.

"What are we doing here? I'm not dressed for this" I said looking around.

"It'll be fine" he said already getting out.

I groaned...

Great.

We walked into the restaurant and I felt so uncomfortable.

Why couldn't we go to KFC or go have a burger instead?

He talked to the man at the entrance desk and realization dawned on me.

"You're rich?" I asked surprised.

He just nodded like it was nothing and a waiter led us over to a table by the window.

I was so uncomfortable.

We sat down and he began to talk.

"Do you like it?" He asked referring to the restaurant.

No.

"Yes, very much" I lied through my teeth.

He was doing too much for a first date.

I wanted simple.

I liked simple.

The waiter came with food that I assumed Dylan ordered because I didn't order a thing.

After we ate and talked it was time to leave.

We drove all the way to my house in silence.

When I got out to go inside he got out too and stopped me by grabbing my wrist.

"Did you enjoy tonight?" He asked gazing at me.

"Uh, yeah...it was...nice" I said and realized he didn't hear a word I said because he was gazing at my lips.

He leaned in just inches away then suddenly the door opened.

"Finally, I've been waiting to tell you about my d- ohh" Julia said eyes widen at our proximity.

I cleared my throat and looked away from Dylan.

"See you at school" I said and he nodded going back to his car and driving off.

"What was that?" Julia asked smirking at me.

I just hit her on her arm and shrugged.

"How was your date" I asked her going to my room and she followed.

"You won't believe what happened" she said sighing and I grinned at her ready to listen.

At least she enjoyed hers.
