The week passed by in a blur and the due date of the essay was nearing not to mention my piano recital for my grade.
Over the week I could say that Shane and I had gotten closer and I was as comfortable around him as I was around Julia.
Dylan however was a different story, I was getting used to him but it was still a little awkward.
Drew started sitting with us at lunch bringing few of his friends with him also.
So now our lunch table consisted of me, Shane, Dylan, Julia, Drew, Luke and Damien.
They were all friendly and I'm glad that I made some new friends in my last year of high school.
I noticed that Dylan had tried multiple times to make advances towards me but it just didn't feel right.
After the almost kiss with Shane a few days ago he hasn't tried anything else.
We just hung out, got to know each other and he taught me how to play the piano.
And I was getting the gist of it.
I was currently in my room with my laptop in front of me willing myself to start the essay.
It was due tomorrow.
Ugh.
I heard my phone ping and I jumped up to get it, my heart leapt from the message displayed on the screen.
'Chicken':
Hey
After his story about him going up to this girl and saying chicken then run off I decided to call him that.
Me:
Hi
'Chicken':
Are you busy?
I contemplated my answer.
Me:
Not at all
'Chicken':
Great, then you can come on an adventure with me.
Me:
An adventure?
'Chicken'
Yes, be ready in ten minutes.
Oh, and send your address😅
I quickly typed my address and got up to get ready.
In exactly nine minutes I was ready in my denim jeans and a plain blue T-shirt with my converse.
I decided to put my hair in a ponytail for the first in a while. I really liked feeling my hair on my shoulders so I mostly left it down.
I quietly went down the stairs as it was eight in the night.
"Boo"
"Ahhhh!" I screamed putting my hand to my chest when I looked up to see Drew laughing at me.
I glared at him.
"Not funny" I said trying to calm my racing heart.
"It is, where are you off to?" He asked.
"I'm going out with a friend" I said leaving out the important details.
"Is this friend by any chance a guy?" He asked smirking.
"N-no, why would you think that?" I stuttered.
"It is a guy, your voice just rose an octave and you stuttered" he said smirking at me.
I just rolled my eyes at him.
"I don't have to answer to you" I said going towards the door.
"Not me, but mom and dad" he said smiling at me innocently.
"Cover for me?" I asked giving him my puppy face.
"It's gonna cost you" he said putting his hand under his chin in a thinking manner.
"What?" I asked really wanting to leave.
"I need you to plan a date for me" he said shrugging.
"Are you serious? Who's the unlucky girl?" I asked smirking at him.
He rolled his eyes.
I think this runs in the family.
"You'll know soon enough, so...deal?"
"Deal" I said rushing out the door where Shane was waiting for me in what I assume was his mother's car.
I got into the passenger seat and looked over at him smiling and smiled back.
"Ready?"
"I think so"
