For the whole night I thought about what Julia and Dylan said.
Did Shane like me?
If yes, why?
I was just an ordinary girl simple, nothing extra or unique about me.
Heck, before I even met Shane or Dylan or my brother's friends the only person I spoke to was Julia.
I'm Antisocial.
So why would he like me?
I just don't get it.
I'm sure they're mistaken.
Right?
"Earth to Shanny" I heard someone say and turned from my seat in the library to face Julia.
"Huh?" I asked.
"You spaced out for like five minutes" she grinned.
Really?
"Uh- I just have a lot on my mind" I said dismissively.
"Could this 'a lot' be Shane?" She smirked and I rolled my eyes at her.
"Shut up" I said looking into my history book.
Another pop quiz wasn't going to catch me that unprepared again.
"Anyway"she said finally changing the topic,"My drama piece is coming up!" She squealed.
"Wow, already?" I asked just as excited as her.
She was a really good actor.
"Yes! I'm so excited" she said grinning.
"Speaking of exciting news...what's going on between you and my brother?" I asked smirking at her.
"Uh- Noth-" she started but I cut her off.
"Juli"
"Okay, he asked me out and I said yes" she blushed.
I grinned.
"Really?" I asked just to tease her.
"Yes really, now shut up" she said still blushing.
"What about that guy you said you liked?... Jack?" I asked suddenly remembering him.
"Turns out he didn't like me back and I guess I didn't really like him, I was just attracted to his look" she shrugged.
"Uh huh"
"Plus, Drew is way hotter and sweeter" she blushed and I gagged.
"My brother is not sweet" I said.
She laughed.
"He is hot tho" she said winking and I laughed.
"Yeah yeah"
"So what are you going to do about the crush you have on Shane?" She asked.
"I don't have a crush on anyone" I grumbled.
"Sure, you'll realize soon enough" she winked then looked back into her book.
I didn't have a crush.
Did I?

"Mom! I need food!" I shouted from my place on the couch.
I just got back from school and decided to waste my evening on the couch watching TV.
"Dinner will be ready in five, no junk food!" I heard mom shout from the kitchen.
I groaned.
No fair.
Dinner was actually ready in seven minutes and I glared at mom for letting me wait the extra two minutes.
We all sat at the table ready to dig in when dad spoke.
"Let us pray first"
I groaned because the hunger was eating me alive.
He quickly said the prayer and we all dug in.
Drew and I ate like animals.
"Kids slow down" mom said looking surprised.
"Sorry mom" I said food spilling out of my mouth.
I smiled sheepishly at her as she shook her head.
"How's school?" Dad asked.
"Good" Drew and I answered simultaneously.
"Anything exciting happened?" He asked again.
"No" we answered again and looked at each other and laughed.
"Shana made a new friend" Drew said smirking at me.
My smile dropped.
"Is that so? What's her name?" Mom asked looking at me.
"It's supposed to be what's his name mom" Drew smirked and I made a cutting action with my throat telling him I would kill him later.
"Him?" Dad asked raising an eyebrow at me.
"He's just a friend dad" I said rolling my eyes and putting a spoon of rice into my mouth.
"Well I'd like to meet your friend" mom said grinning at me.
I groaned.
"I don't think he can make it" I said.
"I'm sure he can" Drew said winking at me.
"N-"
"It's settled then, invite him and his family to dinner tomorrow" Mom said and dad hummed in agreement.
Great.
Just fantastic.
Drew is gonna pay for this.
